My slim recently gave me a big fuck you and the laser stopped reading anything properly so i went out and bought a fat ps2. I'm wondering if the process of replacing sm with the copy is what is wrong here, i know it is common to use a key to switch discs but i just took the lid off and am replacing sm with the copy by taking the top off the dvd drive and then replacing it. The game I am testing with is odin sphere on a verbatim dvd+r 16x dvd. When I run regular games via swap magic it reads them fine. On the slim the copy ran fine. I know there is a thread somewhat relevant to this but as a newbie i can not bump it.

NEVERMIND. I can't believe i didnt realize the problem being that it was +r media. Sorry for this waste of space guys.
