I don't really think there's much we can do about my problem though.. I live in the philippines. we have a store called "CD-R KING" and that store is just crap there's no variety of blank DVD's to choose from.

hey I was able to get verbatim DVD-R but when I burned a game(haunting ground) It had an error in the middle of the disc verification process saying:

possible udf file system error detected

File Name:\data.cvm

specified size:493,133,824 bytes
corrected size:1,566,875,648 bytes

would you like to use the corrected size as the real?

YES/NO

I choose "yes" to use corrected size as real size.

and when I boot it in my ps2 it gives me the "please insert ps2 format disc"

Try burning it without the verification and see how it goes.

I never use the verification process

Do you have another backup game you can try. Maybe there is something wrong with the Haunting Ground ISO image

I have always followed this faq on 1st Class media

http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

I would try cleaning your laser on the PS2, even if it will read Original discs fine, it needs to be in good condition to read burned disc

Or its your burner..

Another solution is too get a friend too burn Haunting Ground on the same media, and then try it.

Not sure what else to tell you.
