How to convert DVD 9 ps2 to DVD 5

Hello,
I had a game BRIAN LARA INTERNATIONAL CRICKET 2007 for ps2 and my disc is damaged and im unable to play it it is in a DVD 9 with gold tape but i tried making an iso and burning it to a DVD5 but the game dosent work the game is 3.1GB.
The game is not available in stores cos its pretty old and its not available to download on the net as well so please tell me if there is a way to burn a DVD 9 ps2 game to a DVD 5 (im doing this cos DVD9 blanks are also not available in my country)

Any help is appreciated

you should not have to convert it. just try copying it using alcohol 120% and just copy disk as is
