hello I'm having troubles burning ps2 games to DVD, I used alcohol 120%, DVD decrypter and nero 8, I used Imation DVD-R 16x and TDK DVD+R 1-16x as media for backuping my ps2 games, I tried 1x, 4x, 8x, write speed but still have no luck in making my ps2 recognize it I always get the red screen that says "insert ps2 format disc" I don't have any IDEA what's wrong my ps2 is modded but can't run the ones that I burn myself. mine is fat ps2 model no. is SCPH-39006

try using ImgBurn to burn your disk's,here's a guide for burning iso file's with ImgBurn

oh I already did imgburn.... the thing I need to do is set booktype to DVD-ROM(if using TDK DVD+R) which imgburn can't do. I think imgburn doesn't recognize my disc drive.. I can't determine who manufactured my disc drive either(my PC is a branded acer ax1800) I can only see "DVD MULTI RECORDER" when I look at the front of the disc drive. I tried all the tabs in the booktype set up still nothing can be changed. I should update this thread thanks for the message.

switch disc brands those two are two of the worst media brands they have never worked for me in a ps2. using verbatim or taiyo yuden. I personally use only verbatim discs and they always work and I've never had a coaster.

Try rebuilding the ISO.. I used Apache to rebuild it. worked fine afterward
