i was wondering if you play burned games using esr will it break the ps2. I just soft mod (Mc Boot v1.8) the scph-39001 ps2 and burned gta vice city stories. Gta vice city stories works great but the ps2 makes loud a noise form the laser when it reads the disc

No it won't break your PS2. The PS2 is making those noises, most likely because of the type of Media you are using or your laser needs cleaning or is getting old.

What brand of media are you using. DVD-R or +R
What speed did you burn at?

I used Sony DVD+R and burned at 5,540 KB/s on nero 8.
I have one more question how do you play games that are on CD on esr?

Ok make sure when using Sony DVD+R, to set Booktype to DVD-ROM

YOu may have better luck burning at either 4x,8x not in between

Ok for CD you will need to convert CD>DVD, then you can patch the ISO image created

Thank you for all your guides, but one of my games still does not work.
When I turn it on, the colors blink but after they load the screen stays black. If you can get any information on Harvest Moon: Save Homeland please send it to me. Or if you could upload a DVD ready version. I would greatly appreciate it.

I did everything. But how do you put it in a the exact sector locations. And what program should I use to burn it because, nero 8 changes the formation.

You may want too ask that question in that post.

I haven't done that in a long time, so sort of forget. I would have to do it myself to remember.

I think you need to use cdvdgen 1.2 to compile it properly or import the txt file, something like that.

I don't have time tonight to look at it, so if you don't post there, I will have to look into it.

i couldn't figure how to make it work.
i put it in sectors with cdvdgen 1.2
but i don't know how to burn it.
yes i would like the converted version
if u can upload it to for me.
