I have a PS2 Slimline with Magic Swap 3.6. I've become disillusioned with new videogames and in an effort to recapture a lost age I decided to break out my PS2 again. However, all the backups that I burn don't work. The boot loader doesn't say it's not a valid PS2 disc, rather the screen goes different shades of black, and rarely after a long while the game will load but eventually crash and take me to the memory card explorer. The discs I'm using are all Memorex or Verbatim. My PS2 reads and plays all the backups I made years ago on Sony DVDs. I had one left so I tried backing up a game and it works, no problem. The simple answer is, of course, just use Sony media. That, however, presents a problem as no retailers I've found still sell it. I used to get them at Best Buy but they are no longer carried. Has anyone experienced a problem of this sort and is there perhaps a way around it?
