I want to softmod my PS2, I need help. I see many different tutorials but dont know the one I should follow. All I want to do is put backup games on hard drive, plug the hard drive into my ps2 and play them. Please help me with the necessary programs and steps to achieve this.

you can but you need several items!!!

here is the original deck instructions.

You need!!!

A sony network adapter

a sony 40 gig hard drive (no other size works with this method because the o.s is stored on the hard drive once connected)

and hd advance you will have to do a google search on this.

if they updated hd advance it should work with external hard drives now as well..

hi buddy , i have installed the mcboot in MC but problem is when i restart the ps2, mcboot logo stays on screen & not show the menu. i tried many time, tried different usb for installation & format the card again but all is vain. All files install on mc successfully but when restart the ps2 its freeze on mcboot logo at start. please help////

i am useing 8 mb sony ps MC. magicgate
