PS2 With Mod-chip, HDLoader wont boot correctly, help?

Hi,
I recently obtained a PS2 with a mod-chip and i burnt myself the Free HD Loader ISO onto CD. The PS2 has a hard disk installed and is running fine. I keep having problems where HDL will not boot up properly and displays "Insert Disc." in white text and black background, though other times it has booted up and ive successfully ripped and played games. Has anyone got any idea whats going on? is there a hotkey to be pressed before it will boot?

All help is appriciated

Copy the ELF to the memory card and launch it from there .

I was scared to use the memory exploit idea but after reading this guide

as long as you're computer literate and stuff it really isnt that hard, the file is HD Loader not HD Advance as shown in the tutorial

The only issue is now that the screen for the HD Loader is off the top and i lose about a 5th of the screen, does anyone know why this is??
