Is there any way to do it w/o a mod chip?
How would I do it? (im new to modding full blown consoles)
What tools/programs will i need?
If its not possible what is the easiest mod chip to install?
Any help is appreciated

All the different methods to install a softmod to your PS2 are under the 'INSTALLATION' tab in this site
Even a free volunteer method.
