i burned a ps1 game with 2 discs in it. i manage to load up the first disc and when i want to load my saved game it says switch to disk 2. but the problem is when i switch it it doesnt work or load at all. my ps2 is a slim and it has no mod chip.

If you managed to load the first disc, I'm going to go ahead and assume you have a modded slim which you can play with the lid open. If that's the case, try putting in your retail PSX game when asked to change discs, let it load for a few seconds, then hot swap (while disc is spinning) with your backup. If that doesn't work, it's likely a bad rip/burn. If the save you are trying to load came from playing disc two (verifying both discs work), and the hot swap doesn't work, you're probably SOL.
