This seems to be a common problem all around here. I have been doing some reading to avoid starting a new thread but I haven't had luck getting anything to work.
It appears to work so simply for about everyone else. At first I tried to simply use a slide card, with the "trick" of loading an original PSX game, and then after it loads switch it with the backup. I had no luck. I have tried several backups I've made. Difference games, even backing up my original games, and also burning them at 1x. Still, no luck.
I also got a Swap Magic Coder 3. I used the normal - NTSC option, and the special - NTSC option. When I try the normal one, I get that red screen to insert a PS1 or PS2 format disc, when I try special, screen goes black forever. It never boots or does anything.
I'd appreciate any help on the matter. I have gone through every tutorial video for these so called tricks to do it with a PS1 disc and then insert the backup and it seems to work for everyone but me. So I must be doing something wrong. Swap Magic I believed would work forsure, and still nothing. Once again, I appreciate any help. Thanks!!
I've never been able to get a copied psx game to run on my ps2 with swap magic, I don't think it's possible, I hate to tell you. I tried all the you tube videos also, never any luck. Best way to do it cheaply, is download epsxe and play your back ups on your pc instead.
Of course I could be wrong, but again, I've never been able to do it.
Swapmagic cannot boot psx backups. What version ps2 do you have or what is the scph # on the back of your ps2?
I ask because only version 9 and up can play backup psx safely via a browser swap method - slide card. Otherwise, get Breaker pro.
