Ps2 Slim CD-R Backup Spins Fast Doesnt Work

I use swap magic 3.8 plus coder to play a couple of my ps2 backups. But i have a couple backups for ps1 as well that the ps2 has trouble reading the disk. I cleaned the lens as well as adjuusted the cd voltage behind the lens. It now plays music cds perfectly but when i insert swap magic cd version it loads the menu then i am able to swap for tony hawks pro skater 2 for ps1. The disk then starts to spin extremely fast making the console vibrate ridiculously then goes back to the ps2 browser. Any one else sxperience this?
