alright, to those of you who have ever been to a goodwill store or have ever bought a ps2 game from goodwill, i have a question. i bought a copy of shin megami tensei: digital devil saga from goodwill for 4 dollars. i was pretty psyched about it, but when i got it home, there was no disc inside the case! so my question is, does goodwill keep their discs separate, or did i get screwed? is the game even worth it? i originally planned to sell it, but it looks pretty bad ass :)
if your buying a PS2 game second hand or any disc secondhand its good to look at the disk before buying it cause usually there very scratched.I've even seen goodwill shops trying to sell copied cds they can be pretty dodgy. Some shops do keep the disc seperate so that anyone that trys to steal it won't get it.if you have a receipt take the game back and explain there was no disk and they should give you a refund or a store credit.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original, yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.
I work in a charity shop.. any disk that is not in the "clearance" box is removed from it's cover and indexed in a sleeve under the counter.
We test all disks where possible to check that they aren't damaged and do actually work.. and also that any software is complete with a valid working legal serial.
Either the shop will have your disk, or some kind person has stolen it out of the case on the shelf.. Either way take it back to the shop and see if they have it.. remember most times the person behind the counter is an unpaid minimally trained volunteer, and may have just made a mistake or not had the shop disk policy explained to them.
Be nice and they will be nice too.. :)
Also.. you paid the going market rate for the game.. it's only listed used at $4 (plus FREE shipping) on amazon.. These days the "bargains" from goodwill and charity shops are in clothing.. everything else we check carefully and sell online ourselves if it seems to be above the price our "walk in" customers will pay. You are most unlikely to find something worth $100 for $4 any more.. those days are long gone... sorry to burst peoples bubbles but we are in the business of making as much money as possible for our causes (only fair to the people who have donated items of value to us), not giving things away for others to get rich off XD
