Modding ps2 phat with ps1 code/disc?

hellow everyone. First post here. Does anyone think that/know if it is possible to use a modded ps1 game with an exploit elf to mod a phat ps2? Using the swap ps1 trick?

In other words, if there is ps1 HB or exploit software that could be written to a cd and ran to mod a ps2? Or can ps2s only swap for games?

Even if it is possible, i bet none has created ps1 HB code.

I think that ps1 software wouldn't be able to have any real functions since the ps2 uses an emulator maybe?

I just want to run code from a ps1 style image to atleast transfer files from disc to memcard for ps2 exploit.
