This is all I could find on that file extension. Don't know how much help it will be. You may be able to e-mail them.

just a thought?

try extracting the image with ISOBUSTER or ULTRAISO! to files that can be used!

also it may have been renamed? rename to .ISO etc...?

edit

it may be a MAC file type?

go here for apps!

matroska is not a ZIP or RAR like archive file, but a real video container like AVI or MOV.

For conversion to MPEG2 ( S-VCD / DVD ), use TMPGencoder and its built in DirectShow reader module. Install one of the matroska playback packs from http://packs.matroska.org first, so that your MKV files will play fine in WindowsMediaplayer or any other DirectShow based player. If the file plays in WMP, TMPG will be able to open it to make a MPEG file from it, for DVD / S-VCD creation.

Alternatively, get the mkvtoolnix package from http://mkvmerge.matroska.org and use mkvextract from Command Line ( CLI ) to extract all the video, audio and subtitles streams in your MKV file, and process them with your standard video tools into whatever you like.

Virtualdubmod won't accept the mkv file and mkvextract won't work properly, it seperated them into realvideo files for some reason.

LOL :) ....

The reason the video stream of the MKV file is extracted into Realvideo, is because the video IS Realvideo ( RV40/RV9/RV10 ) ;) ...
