X Copy isn't a problem for everyone, but for the people who do have a problem with it, it can be a pretty big and frustrating problem. I speak from experience.

I for one, use X-copy products. They have performed & perform very well. Each to his own. I would not recommend, due to lack of support etc........
Just my humble opinion, for what it is worth.

Installing the latest version of AnyDVD (5101)seems to have fixed the problem. No wonder the update was so quick...to fix driver conflicts.

ive been having alot of prblems with the new version of any dvd. it seems to conflict with Nero and by removing nerocheck it improves matters. i also downloaded the latest patch which helped but did not cure the problem. i have restored my computer back until a proper fix arrives./ better to have an older version that is working properly than a half baked attempt that does the job so slowly that it races the trees growing outside.

hi everyone.i posted this prob a shortwhile back, and was advized to try the new version which i did 3 days ago. again it stopped me useing my power2go3 which came with the comp.saying both drives were empty, and when i tried to play the disc in either drive it said the same. loaded and unloaded 4 or5 times just to make sure it was'nt me. so unloaded again. binned AnyDVD. everything back to normal. i run shrink and dycrypter with no probs, so i'll stick with them. havent found anything yet i can't back with them. geoff

ive had similar problems and with the latest update things went back to normal. as the updates came things got better but i had to keep uninstalling. i think i have become an any dvd addict. before any dvd used to use DVD Decrypter and shrink but now just use AnyDVD and clone dvd2 (which has also been upgraded). now i have to work on the speed of decrypting from scratch. with writing it takes approx 45mins for new moviesw about 20 mins if it has been cracked before.

ANY DVD IS A RIP OFF. It is a program that they put out there is not capable of doing everything that Slysoft said it can do. Actually it does more harm to your computer than anything. It is not worth buying or downloading the trial version. It locks up your programs and if you're not careful it will cause your system to crash.

@smooth88: Did you actually pay for it or did you download a crack for it? Because I think people who obtain illegal copies of it are the ones who have problems with this program (mostly). Do you run Pinnacle or Intervideo software? There are known conflicts with these. Also, do you have InCD (comes with Nero), Drag to Disc (comes with Roxio) or DLA (comes with Sonic)? These programs will lock your drive. AnyDVD accesses your drive, but shouldn't lock it. Also did you ever try to run AnyDVD in Safe Mode?

Bill,
If you continue to have problems and nothing else works - just do the system restore - restore it back to how it was right before you installed AnyDVD the FIRST TIME.

Hey Squizzle,
I paid $40 for the software off the slysoft website. I did not obtain anything illegally. The program is just a rip off and so is Slysoft. I think they need to be sued for this crap. But advise to those out there that by software off the internet, do not purchase software from any company that does not have a 1- 800 number with technical support.

Where do you come up with this stuff? It must be a case of operator error because you're the same person claiming that using a +R disc in a -R burner will cause all your apps to freeze and virtual memory to be lost. Maybe you should learn how to run your system correctly before coming up with all this junk.
AnyDVD is one of the most trouble free best performing apps to be had. Period.

I couldn't agree more. Maybe you have some piece of software that conflicts with AnyDVD that nobody else has heard about but other than that it sounds like you are doing something wrong. Did you go through the 21-day trial? If it didn't work then, why did you spend money on it? Have you looked through the options in AnyDVD? Have you tried to run it in Safe Mode (AnyDVD's safe mode, not windows)?

i have to agree too. i tried the trial period and was so impressed purchased the software. i have only had one lot of conflicts which was when they upgraded the software but that was eventually sorted as they improved the product. i think it is great and have had nothing too complain about since buying it. the only problems i can think people have is with what they have loaded on there machines. im so thankfull to xp for having the restore function as i would have been in so much trouble without it.

I also agree AnyDVD plays nice with all my apps, this was the best money I have ever spent. This proggy lets me not have to rip to the hardrive all the time, I toohave become an AnyDVD junkie because it lets me be a lazya$$. Why do people always blame the program, when there are other reasons for problems, and doing a little research can solve them.
