I purchased and have been using 321 STUDOIS' DVD x COPY GOLD but recently i have upgrade my operating system and computer spec to Windows XP PRO with SERVICE PACK 2. Now when i try to back up my DVDs DVD X says "error reading source disk" when i try to preview the split and generally it works like shit now. COnsidering I paid full price I think it shoud still work.
DVD Xcopy has not been updated for a very long time, and is not able to handle a number of the newer disks. You would be better off trying newer programs DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink both are free. You can use software tabe at the top of page to locate. Guides are available at these sites along with software
These are two great progs, they will do all you need to do just follow the guides. If you have problems with the program come on back and post and someone will help you.
just one more thing..will your suggested programme work with my Pioneer DVR-AO4. I know that some DVD Back Up Software is particular aboput which drives are used.
They should work fine with your drive, as long as you are not experiencing any difficulties with your computer. You are able to play dvd's at this time with no problems, aren't you?
These two programs will allow you to back up your dvd's region free. Follow the guides and use good quality media i.e. Verbatim, Sony, Maxell, Taiyo Yuden, or TDK. Happy burning
