It's a bunch of bunk. It's not LUK who has the new .org site. If you notice, besides needing programmers, which LUK didn't need, he also is needing reverse engineers. What do you think LUK would need these for? Whoever this is, they are tying to figure out the code and since it's not open source....

I say just keep decrypter around and get PSL lists when needed.

I am not going to abandon Decrypter as squizzle state PSL's will be made available if people are patient enough. Problem is if they can't back it up on the first day of release they are frustrated, it would be better to just wait until the workarounds come out. Digital Digest is listing PSL for Closer and so are people on CDFreaks. Olli from Sylsoft has stated just use Decrypter with AnyDVD just use it with the ElbyCDIO it works. I can still rip and Shrink as before just may now need a little help, but there will always be other programs.

i'm certainly no expert, but i would imagine the new decrypter site is a scam....seems to me the real Lightning UK! would have simply contacted a couple of forum sites directly or used the 'submit news' feature of some sites to get the word spread by site admins if they believed it was him.
probably just some guy looking for free money from people sending him donations. i didn't see any comments anywhere in the forum section. think i'll hide and watch a bit.

Well there certainly looks like there are enough suckers willing to pay for free programs, the seller has 113 positive feedbacks and the only item he is selling is this combo, what a joke :~)

This is getting crazy. where is LUK? He'll post for awhile and totally disappear. Will I have to log off the Intarnet when I rip my dvds for now on with decrypter?

I think LUK is being pretty smart about the way he's laying low. Of course he's reading this stuff, I know I would be. But if he pops up, people will be hounding him and I'm sure that's a headache he just doesn't need right now, with him dealing with all this stuff on he's got on his hands.

HELOO LUK!!!!
Well, it's the start of yet another week. Over the weekend I was busy and unable to sit and stare at my screen. I've gotten into the nasty habit of creating these frankenstien-ish computers out of the dead body parts I find in the trash and people give me after resurrecting their otherwise dimised HPs and Comptrashs.
Now I have a momment so I'll put in my two cents...
The "man" brings us down every way he can, and in any way we can we revolt against it. I've went to the other sites and read everything everyone is saying. Not understanding a damn bit of some of it (I only build 'em, man!). Never-the-less, I have to say, LUK, we all know you got something up your sleeve. Your reluctance to chat upon the subject shows a brilliant intelligence, and possibly a fearful demeanor in the light of all that's transpired, but boy, would I love to pick your brain!
As has been said time after bloody time: The programs will be there. Technology surpasses need then sells us the need for more. We are all junkies hooked on the thought of revolution and finally bringing down the man.
It is not only our right, but our responsibility to question authority.

@Rotary

Good observation, I have been wondering about that myself. Things are as you say "too quiet" In this day and age it is amazing that there is not more info on this, usually by now someone ferrets out something. The whole thing seems off somewhere:~)

Thats the same feeling I got from reading some of the other forums. Everything is too quiet. Even if they stop someone from developing the software and updating it, they can't stop you from posting messages. Last time I looked we still had freedom to speak out. If that other Decrypter site was a fake, he could have at least said that without going into detail. Something is up.

Jerry

That is VERY possible! Never thought of it that way, and yes, if i was getting busted or sued for whatever, it wouldnt stop me from posting messages online about anything. Also, if i was 'offered' more money then what i was getting from people sending in donations then i would probably do it also!

Yeah, biolbo65, I wonder that same thing sometimes...
In a nut shell, what I'm saying is that fundimentally, the US is blowing chunks. Just about every aspect of our society has a flaw. Now before I get bashed as I would bash, I love my country; I love what my country ultimately stands for... it's the Great and Powerful OZ behind the curtain I have issues with. We're shown what we will see, trained to feel what we will feel, and taught to do as we do. When we step out of those perameters we're tucked away from sight where we can do no harm to their vision. And with that said, I'll stop ranting.
Now, what's with Shrink? I spent 2 hours on my brother's pc only to figure out that Nero was making it shut down. I came to the conclusion that because he was allowing auto-updates and I don't that something was in that. Anybody out there got an idea for the rookie here?
Oh, by-the-by, I got it back to normal by completely uninstalling Nero and reinstalling it, which was a pain. And yeah, I know I can completely render with DVDD. THANX!

From what i heard the author for shrink works or worked for Nero, so there ya go. Besides, shrink hasnt been updated in awhile and never will be, you really didnt need shrink to remove protection anyhow if you had decrypter.

arniebear, thank you for that compliment... whether it was ment or not. Being uneducated besides my own education, I've never been exposed to Marx aside from hearing his name mentioned in political discussions. I just finished reading about him at historyguide.org/intellect/marx.html. I must say I'll be reading more.
I'm just a free thinker with free thought on my mind; wishing for a better society that I know could exist. It makes me sad.

Mystakill, I use shrink to shrink.... too poor to buy dvd9 disks.
I only use DVDD to decrypt... until it won't work. I gave up on x xpress. And I see no need, until need arises, to use anything else since DVDD works every time! But thanx for the insight.

Fancy that you are doing a search, or see a post in a forum somewhere that really sizzles your nibblenuts because it reads like this: Finally! Decrypter 3.5.5 released-they only slowed me down! Would you click on it?
(Just a heads-up for future Mcrvsn trickiness)
