Be smart and use DVDD as long as it's useful and then go to another app. You may be joking, but seriously, losing one app isn't that big a deal. Though possibly not as good as DVDD, there's other freeware available. Also, there are retail offerings to fill the void as well.

it will be missed but it will also be replaced with something else! So far soooooooo good...... it's still the king out there ........ all the new releases still can be used with DVDD as of 6/29

Only so much can be said about orphaned software... It was the best freeware of it's kind, it's still useful (use it till it isn't), and always keep your eyes open for something better. With that said, I think I'll do as Rotary did. Bye cruel world, or rather just this little part of it. LOL Good day.

Hi there,

*scum-site-removed*

The original developer of this program could not legally release the source code so If you have these skills, please contact me at...
Too bad the writer of DVD Decrypter can't make a mistake, have an FTP server on his PC, and accidently put the source code on the FTP site, and OH MY GOD, someone hacked into his FTP site and stole the source code...

Oh well, I'm a loud to dream aren't I ? hehehehe

AnyDVD, get your keymaker ready, lot's of orders to come in soon !

I have started picking apart DVDDecrypter.exe and it is a very well written program(DUH!). I have not delved too deeply into it yet, as I am not a good Delphi programmer(thats gonna change). If you guys want I can give progress reports. Let me know.

I think AnyDVD will stay the course. They operate on a small island somewhere in the caribbean. There is not such thing as worrying about copyright this or you stole my that. They care more about tourists and hotels lol

Slysoft made the right choice when they set up shop. At least it will not be another company that will fall like 321 studios and other vendors.

Well 321 stuios was no major loss in my opinion. Shrink was out before they fell so it was no major loss. They did fight hard for the right to back up our dvd's so i do morne the loss of that company in that respect.

you can use it until the next round of new copy protection is utilized. until then, decrypter should work fine on all current dvds....decrypter just won't be updated to bypass future copy protection measures....unless someone 'tweaks' the program since uklightning! won't be keeping up with it any longer.

where is the info on the $10 rebate?
i may spring for AnyDVD for that.

tried to find CloneDVD at frys, hoping i could find it with a rebate and bundled with AnyDVD, i don't think CloneDVD is available except via download :(

If I remember right, there is a block on the order page and all you do is type in AFTERDAWN there and you will get the $10. discount. I can't remember if it was a dated offer or not and I can't find the info now.

Jerry

I found it.

Anydvd is one of the best decrypting programs on the market and updated faster than any others out there. It works great with CloneDVD and will run behind many other programs. Well worth the money with lifetime updates included.
