Madden '06 PAL is not online for spanish PAL version.It hasn't online play mode.I don't know for other PAL countries versions.

EA the bullies they did the same thing 2 Fight Night round 3 I downloaded the NTSC version and it had an online mode so i cudnt w8 4 the PAL 2 come outt and when it did it dint have an online mode

It is possible to change the region ID of your PS2 console to NTSC to play the games online.

EDIT : Sorry, I meant it IS possible not is it possible was just pointimg out to the guy above that he can play his downloaded NTSC v online.

socom 2 and 3 back-ups won't work online.
To play Toca online, load with patched, when login stuff comes up and you can't activate it, put in the unpatched, do what you gotta do and when the 'DHCP' check pops up eject the unpatched and put in the patched version.
Not sure about NTSC, definitely works with PAL.

well im using pal and i used a back up of socom 2 well after the patch and im using a socom 3 back up as we speak

I got a chipped ps2. i can play backups of like fifa 06, battlefield 2 & new ghost recon online (crap game online) . But when i insert an original Socom 2 Game in & attempt to go online it goes to the dnas screen and hangs there fully crashed, same happens with a replacement.
I bought this ps2 recently as i thought having a chipped ps2 would be better than using swap magic disks but i think that the socom 2 detects the chip inside and thinks its a cheat device even when disabled.
Im gonna sell the ps2 and get a normal 1 using swap magic as it works with online backups much better than a chip as its a one time use & doesnt stay turned on.
Just thought i'd add something to topic.

its ok i used the universal code, and it worked fine, just have to rebuild to iso, on this game..
