@needs: Disc IDs are in the 'PS2 Online' Forum, which is a hidden forum until you register.

@mitch04: If you've already burnt any online games without pre-patching the original iso's with a DNA$ ID, then you will need to make an image of them, patch DNA$ with WinDIP, then reburn your newly patched iso.

@Farman56: ID for World Cup 2006 was posted on previous page, a few posts before yours, or you can get it from backupscene (link in my sig)

@shauntay: I have no problem with you trying to help people, but if you actually want to help them, then start telling them 100% factual information. YOU CANNOT GET A DNA$ ID FROM AN IMAGE BURNT TO YOUR PC FROM AN ORIGINAL DISC. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. To get a Disc ID from a disc, you need to use the Disc ID Utility from Paradox in your PS2 & get the ID from an original store bought game. Also, your single ID won't work for every game. If you knew anything about the way DNA$ works, then you'd be aware of that. There is NO SUCH THING as a Universal DNA$ ID.
The only problem I have with your info is that it is wrong, and very misleading. It was info like yours that f**ked up the PS1 scene.
I've been coming here for a long time, and the reason I registered was because of all the bull-crap & mis-information that was being spouted about PS2 online & DNA$ that I wanted to set straight, so people were informed correctly.

You can't go online with the NTSC version, but you can with the PAL version. However, you will need to create a Central Station handle with a PAL Network Access Disc, and register your PS2 there.

You can get the DNA$ in this topic, or at backupscene

It doesnt work...

It has TWO DNAS files, I've patched both with this Disc ID and others, and I always get the same 864 error.

I've tried a DVD-RW and a DVD-R with the same results.

Are you sure that those Disc ID really works?

@corpcd: If you use WinDIP it will patch BOTH DNA$ libraries & will work .

@YRazor: You'll need to supply the SLES number from the game to get a DNA$ for it. Mount the image & look for the SLES file number, or use IsoBuster to look for it. It'll be named "SLES_xxx.xx" (or SCES_xxx.xx)Although if its a DVD9 game like the NTSC version was then its highly unlikely you'll be able to go online with a backup of it anyway.

PAL backed-up dub remix won't go online.

You can rebuild it to make it fit on to a normal 4.7g DVD though, so you can play it offline, use gnies rebuilding tool.

Here's a guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/18/275350#1725918

And here's where to get gnies: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/269550

Ace dude, don't jump in like you're a DNA$ expert man.

I've patched countless games, never used sles, used PAL IDs from Spain, UK, as long as they're PAL they usually work. Very rarely will you have to ever go by the sles, I know I never have and haven't had any problems.

There really isn't such a thing as a Universal ID, I totally agree but I've found that quite a lot of games will get past the DNA$ check using a random ID from another online game. It doesn't matter if the last 6 digits are the same as another game, if you have say a copy of THAW, everyone else who has that copy will be using the same last 6 digits.

It's not at all fail-safe, but it's worth a try if the DNA$ that's being sought hasn't appeared and you're willing to chance it, it's only an 80c disc if it doesn't work.

Basically there's not many set rules with DNA$, I mean you must have PAL for PAL games, and the number/letter combo has to be between a-f and 1-9 for the first four digits, but let's face it we're doing dodgy stuff and nothing's really set in stone.

Thanks for the link to backupscene, it should prove to be a worthy resource of information.

And shuantay, what's your method for using windip to get disc IDs? Ace is right when he says that if you make an image it won't have the dna$, that's why you gotta patch it. What are you doing that I'm not?

lmfao @ needs!!!!

Obviously you don't know who I am then huh? I am an expert. It was me that helped crack the Console ID formula, and it was me that helped crack DNA$ Disc ID generation by using the number from the elf files (executables or SLES/SLUS numbers).

I'm the same ace1 from backupscene that is able to generate WORKING IDs for PAL & NTSC games the same day a game is released. If you don't believe me, then ask lxfactor, who also knows the method of generation from the elf file number & is doing it on this very site for NTSC games. The only difference is that I have a special double-check to ensure that an ID will work.

There's really not much more about DNA$ that I don't know, or can possibly learn as I've studied the formulas very carefully.

And your theory about the last 6 digits always being the same, is wrong. The middle set of octets (the ones before the region identifier) can go from 00 to FF, this is what's called a games' "series" or "batch", as games are pressed in batches.

You should come over to backupscene & get the facts, and not rely on the myths you've quite obviously heard.

I've used WinDIP v1.7, I've tried again the Disc ID you provided and still it doesnt work. I've tried to patch both DNAS files manually and it doesnt work too...

Have you tried by yourself?

Yup. FIFA WC 06 works perfectly well online & offline. You do realise that if you boot your games by Swap Method, you will need to rebuild this game? At 4.37Gb its too big for Swap Magic. Rebuilding will remove the false TOC & decrease the size to 1/2 of that.

@boxrunner: You can find the Crash n Burn ID at backupscene.
MX vs ATV must never of been requested, but try this one..

Really needs? Perhaps you should do your own research, rather than trying to disprove others & make yourself look big. Cos it aint worked....

http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=10237&mid=325686

Notice the cover? With its Online logo, and the words "With Net Play" written, both on the page & on the box? And the list of features listed on the page stating "Online - Race against 8 players on Xbox Live and PlayStation 2 with live chat"?

Nobody likes a smart-arse, especially one that's constantly proved wrong! :P

Funny that, since this site, where I buy my games, says otherwise: http://www.gameswarehouse.com.au/longpage.asp?gameid=10670

I also happen to have bought this game, and there is no net play. Why do you think there's never been a DNA$ posted for it anywhere? It's not because of lack of popularity, look at MTX - it wasn't that popular but the DNA$ for it was posted very early, due the fact that it's the only PAL moto/supercross game that can go online.

There's a lot of pictures floating around of NFS:MW that would tell you it's an online game, but it got cut at the last minute, which is what happened with MX vs ATV. As you can see from the link, it is not online, I own the original, I'm looking at the cover right now and it is most certainly not an online game (PAL version). The MX games are in my top 5 favourite games, and I assure you if it had net play I would've been playin online as soon as I got it.

At the gamefaqs mx vs atv forum, everyone was talking about how much it sucked that only the NTSC could go online.

Yeah, smartasses suck, probably why you're such a di*k.

>>rather than trying to disprove others & make yourself look big<<

Oh my effing God, if anyone's doing that it's you tiger, 'I hacked this, haven't you heard of me, I'm an expert, there's nothing I don't know, Shauntay you're wrong I'm right you suck, I'm here to tell you the real facts cause you're all wrong and I'm right, what you've heard is myth come to my gay forum that is better than yours'....... it just goes on and on, if anyone's sittin there pulling their penis over themselves and trying to prove others wrong, it's you. Get some self esteem.

Go back to your forum where you're insanely famous and popular, you're not required here, we were all getting along just fine till your ass showed up.

Right On Needs, this guy is a JERK , he banned me from his shitty site look what he wrote to me:
My message:
Hey Buddy why did you ban me from the site? what did I do? the editing!!!!!!!!!!!!! give me a break !!!!!!!!!!!!! watever

His Answer:
You were banned for posting (Copying & Pasting) our DNAS IDs on other sites, specifically afterdawn.com's forums, without giving credit to backupscene.com as the original source, not for anything to do with posting/editing posts on our own forums.

We do not mind our IDs being posted at other locations so long as appropriate credit is given, and hold a zero tolerance policy on anyone seen distributing them without credit.
