we're gonna need some more info than just that. Mainly what programs you are using and describe your process.

well I've never used Nero Vision, but the converting of AVI to DVD might require the subs to be in a seperate file (ie srt). Otherwise NVE may not even recognize the subs. Not sure on that, but that's my best guess.

hmmm....
Cool, I guess I was wrong (hey it happens to the best of us from time to time). So maybe it's something to do with using NVE to convert to DVD. Maybe that program doesn't recognize built-in subs or there's some settings that need to be adjusted. If Divx2DVD does it, it's obviously possible.
@an1990: maybe try divx2dvd?? Here's the link to it: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/v...
It's a pretty nice program. It's free, pretty quick, simple to use and gives you pretty good quality.

Hi there,
All the AVI files I've seen, came with a subtitle file in *.SUB format.
I never used them since I have no idea what applications supports those .sub files...
DivXtoDVD v0.5.2b [Freeware] didn't see or care that the .sub file was in the same dir.
