just after the post screen but before the windows screen start tapping the f8 button. it will come up with a menu with safe mode near the top so select that. another screen eventually pops up saying you are entering safe mode, press ok. could try & delete the infected files manually in safe mode

Go to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html#threat_list and type in the name of the trojan and it will tell you how to manually get rid of it. Its happened to me a few times and I had to get rid of it manually cause Norton wouldnt do it on its own. You will most likely have tp edit some registry stuff but they tell you how to do it. Good Luck

when you run the program, click on do a system scan than look for the line containing "C:\WINDOWS\JAASTE.DLL". in front of that line is an empty box, put a checkmark on it than click "fix checked" button so that the line is deleted. download & run ccleaner including issues. than rerun both norton & the online scan.

The only way to get rid of this file is to go into save mode with command prompt... once you get to command prompt do the following
cd\
cd widows
del jaaste.dll
thats it, your done.
