Hi guys,

I'm new here. But just seems that port 65535 is used by RC1 trojan, whatever that means. It was quoted from http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers. Thought you should know. :p

http://www.simovits.com/sve/nyhetsarkiv/1999/nyheter9902.html says that the port is used for the rc1 trojan. check it out.
But 55555 is used for a trojan also so weycraze and others on 55555 are equally at risk.

well good for you, so are most computer users. That doesn't mean everybody is. Since when has helpful info warranted such a rude reply?

I know win xp pro is a joke but this is not the time or the place for a windows bashing session :)

Hey people,

I think people are getting a little freaked out here about porting and trojans.

First off, if you download, on any port, YES, you are at risk.

Being at risk, does not necessarily mean you will get one.

I've downloaded ton of stuff an many differrent ports. A port is a communication pipeline. You NEED it.

I've found that the viruses I've downloaded, have all been contained in the files I've downloaded.

So, protect yourself, and scan all incoming files before execution.

Surprisingly enough, I've only got 4 viruses in the last year, and deleted the bad files before the virus could become active.

Peace,

Weycraze

Same speeds as any other port that my ISP doesn't throttle down.

I'm actually forever switching ports, dude845.

LOL yes, I have never had any luck in downloading torrents quickly the highest I've ever got one is 17KB/s.

I'm using bitlord 1.1 and I have opened port 65535 up on netgear settings. But most of my well seeded torrents I'm trying to download are still at 0KB/s

I have 1.1mbps broad, a NETGEAR DG834 anyone have any ideas why its sooooo slow
