I got virtua tennis.iso in the iso folder and when i start fastloader 7 it ask me to start the umb or dump the umd and when i select the umd it plays my MVP baseball umd i have in it. I hit the dump and it ran the numbers down and then thats it. when i try and start the game with out a umd is ask for it and when i put one in it goes to the initializing screen and just sits there.

@ps2dcgba...there really isn't too much difference between the two firmwares...however a lot of programs are actually designed for the 1.50 firmware, also...the really only significant difference is that the 1.0 firmware, when trying to get on the internet in infrastructure mode, it will look for an internet signal and if it can't find one it will swap to adhoc mode to look for a signal...the 1.50 firmware on the otherhand...will look for a signal in infrastructure mode and if it can't find one, it will give you an error message and that's it...it won't swap to adhoc mode to look...

@Elsamboy...hey man..ok what game are you trying to play in the fastloader? i suggest that you get the new fastloader(Version 0.08)...it will play almost every game out so far...the only one i have seen that it won't play is World Tour Soccer...the previous fastloaders were a lil' limited on what games they could play...also on your second question on how to get the game into an ISO format...if you have the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.BIN file then you can use this guide for rebuilding it back into an ISO file...

VcdromX:
download it and once you extract it...look for an icon called "VcdromX"...(I'm going to use Fifa as an example in this guide) open this file up and a window will pop up on the screen type in "C:\Fifa" and make sure that the "FCD" button is checked...now click the left "??" on the bottom..now go to the folder where you have the "PSP_GAME" and "UMD_DATA.BIN" files\folders and DRAG them over to the right side of the "VcdromX" window...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)" click on this..a window will pop up click "OK"...this will start to convert this file to an ".FCD" file...now once this is done go back to the top left corner and to the "??F" box..this time go down to where it says "??????C"..this will bring up another pop up window click on the folder icon on the top box and go to the C:\ and look for the file labeled "Fifa.FCD"...now click open or double click on that file and it will put that name in the pop up window that showed up...now click on the top right box ( next to the folder looking icon) labeled "??" and it will start to create an iso image file for you...you will have to close this window out because it will stay stuck on 100% once finished..but once it reaches 100% it is ok to close it...

@drdre...hello and welcome to the forum...ok now down to getting this game working....where is your ISO folder located? it should be located on the Root Directory of your psp(the first window that pops up when you plug your psp into your computer...also has the PSP folder on the same window)...it sounds like you have the Fastloader and Fastloader% folders in the right spot, so i'm thinking that you may have the ISO folder in the wrong spot...let me know how it turns out and good luck, holla ;)

Reaper...download WinRAR, if you don't already have it...if you don't and you download it, install it and then right click on the first Rar file you have, the one labeled blpp-dgr.001...then select "Open With" and then select WinRAR to open it...then a window will pop up with the iso file in it....right click on this iso file and select "Extract to"...then select Desktop as the destination and let it extract it to your Desktop...once it is done just copy it and place it in the UMDEMULATOR\ISO Directory on your psp(for Fastloader V0.08)...for Fastloader V0.07 just put it in the ISO folder on the Root Directory(the directory with the PSP folder on it) of your PSP...those files don't look like rar files but they are...good luck and let me know how it turns out and if you need anymore help, holla ;)

@Reaper...hope you have a 2gb memory card THUG2 is too large for a 1gig memory card

@eskiboi..here follow this guide for Fastloade V0.08(AKA UMDEUMULATOR)..you can download fastloader from the link in my sig or google it...
Fastloader V0.08:
Once Downloaded and Extracted to your Desktop, you should have these folders....PSP, UMDEMULATOR, and a Readme.txt...ok first off plug your psp into your computer...now take the "UMDEMULATOR" folder and place it on the Root Directory(the first window that pops up when you plugged in your PSP...also contains the PSP folder), minimize this window....now go back to your desktop and double click on the PSP folder(the one on your computer, NOT the one on your PSP), this should bring up another window that contains the "GAME" folder, double click on this folder and it should contain these folders, "UMDEMULATOR" AND "UMDEMULATOR%"...now highlight both of these folders and right click on one of them and select "Copy"....now go back to the window that you minimized for your psp and once it opens double click on the PSP folder(the one on your PSP), then double click on the Game folder, once this folder opens up, right click on an open space and select "Paste"....now to put an ISO on your PSP...back out of the "GAME" folder and back out once more till you are at the Root Directory again(the one with the PSP folder on it)...and double click on the "UMDEMULATOR" folder...now once folder opens up, double click on the ISO folder...this is the folder where you will place your ISO image files(the games)....now to start a game...once you have installed the Fastloader V0.08(aka UMDEMULATOR) and placed an ISO in the ISO folder(the one in the UMDEMULATOR directory)...now place ANY umd in the slot of your psp and back out of USB mode and go to your Memory Stick icon(the one below the UMD icon) and press X...then select the smiley face with "UMD Emulator" next to it...this should bring up a green screen on your psp with cogs(spikey wheels) in the background...and it should have your ISO listed ...pretty much the same as before...now make sure these settings are listed on screen:
CPU/BUS speed: 222/111 MHz
ISO mode: on
Disctype ISO: game
Disctype UMD: game
Updater icon: remove
Regioncode game: regionfree
Regioncode video: regionfree
Regioncode audio: regionfree
Flash0 emulation: off
Flash1 emulatoni: off

now once the settings are taken care of...select the ISO(game) you want to start to play..press X and it's going to go back to the main menu...now once it has gone back to your main menu(the PSP background screen)...place ANY umd in the slot of your psp wait for the umd icon to appear...now press up on the directional pad and it should bring you to the umd icon...but look at the icon closely, because now it is the ISO you put on your psp..hence the name UMD EMULATOR...now click on it and enjoy...good luck and if you need any help, just ask...holla ;)

k here's a simplified version of where the folders should be...(grabbed it from Humma's readme):

PSP/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
|
+--- GAME/
| |
| +--- UMDEMULATOR/
| | |
| | +--- EBOOT.PBP
| |
| +--- UMDEMULATOR%/
| |
| +--- EBOOT.PBP
UMDEMULATOR/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
| |
| +--- ISO/
| | |
| | +--- < place your ISOs here >
| |
| +--- core.bin
| +--- menu.bmp
| +--- config.dat

I did everything you wrote and it seems like i did everything right. I have fastloader v0.07 and i have burnout legends. I went into the burnout legends folder and i opened the blpp-dgr.001 with WinRAR and extracted the iso image file which came out to be 477mb. I put it in the iso folder on my psp but when i go to fastloader i see nothing, the screen is black with yellow letters. I put a UMD in and i think it says something like "start playing UMD" and "dump UMD" I don't see how i can load my iso image. Can you tell me what i'm doing wrong please. Thanks.

I have been trying to get UMD Loader 0.8c to work on a version 1.00 PSP, I have converted the PBP files from the 1.5 set using PSP Brew and I can execute the loader. However when I select an ISO from the menu it locks up!
I have a UMD in the drive and have tried every possible combination for the settings, but it just locks up on the menu.
Has anyone got this to work on a version 1.00 PSP??
Thanks

@nuttin88...ok first off you have the ISO folder on the same directory, that also has the PSP folder, right? here is a guide of what it should look like:

PSP/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
|
+--- GAME/
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER/
| | |
| | +--- EBOOT.PBP
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER%/
| |
| +--- EBOOT.PBP
ISO/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
|
+--- < place your ISOs here >

@Jimmybo...i don't really have too much experience with 1.0 firmwares...but i've heard that fastloader won't work on the 1.0, i've heard rumors of the Hookboot launcher working on some...but you might want to try turning on the "Flash0 emulation:" to on and trying it....or doing "Flash1 emulation:" to on...doing each one single first then if those two tries don't work..try turning them both on...sorry man, don't have much experience with them...i have a 1.5

Thanx evnflow. I did it earlier today following the instructions you gave another poster that had fastloader 0.8. I have version 0.8 now and it works perfect. Although it wasn't the version of fastloader that was the problem. I kept putting the iso folder in the wrong directory. This thing is so great. Thanx again you give very well detailed instructions, i like that.

evnflow, it's safe to say that we all owe you a lot for helping with our problems. Anyways, I got some for ya:

1) All games need a UMD disk to load with FL?
a. Only crack groups use the rip kits right? I don't need to use
it in order to play the games? From pspcrack: "we now have an
ATV ripkit..here's what it's been ripped down too....
ATV Offroad Fury: 861mb to 198mb...great job...and thanks."

2) When I'm looking for PSP games on mininova, how do I know which one I should get? There's like 3 different groups that release a game and they're diffrent sizes too...

3) My WipeoutPure game from Paradox said this: Of course you can't play this game yet, and you won't be playing it anytime soon on a burnt umd disc (as sony has already said they wont be releasing burners for these).
However maybe it will give you an idea of what PSP games are like, and just what is hidden on those little discs :) Hopefully it will give psp developers a chance to look into the files etc used on a UMD. Knowing what files are present and where in the filepath they can be found may help with loading of 'driver' files etc from disc.
| (Hint: UMDs use an iso9660 based filesystem, so this image file can be opened in any iso image browser such as isobuster to look at, extract and generally play with the files within. It could also be burnt to a dvd to let u access the files on your computer such as in windows explorer)
| Since this contains the ability for "web browsing" its hoped that an exploit can be found that will allow the booting of code on any version PSP. Check the unencrypted files on disc for more info on exactly how the browser works. |
| Thanks go out to the supplier of this title. Cheers.

So you think I can play this? It's in iso format; I guess this game came out before FL...

THANKS!!

Hi,Dear sirs:
I have a problem to use the fastloader0.7 to load iso file even my PSP's firmware version is 1.5,actually I didn't know what procedure I did was wrong.I downloaded fastloader0.7 and extracted it then 4 folder appeared(ISO,ISOMISC,ISOSPLIT,PSP).It has already GAME&FASTLOADER&FASTLOADER% inside the PSP folder(aslo EBOOT.PBP inside the FASTLOADER&FASTLOADER% folder).
I copy these 4 forlders(ISO,ISOMISC,ISOSPLIT,PSP)into the PSP folder(play station portable's folder) and then put game's ISO file(winning eleven soccer 9)into the ISO folder and I push the Memory Stick icon which was below the UMD icon,it showed "there are no games" so there are no any smile face appeared or other message apperaed.Could anyone tell me what'up with my doing procedure, thks very much.
my flowchart was listed below:

@NuRon...
1.) Yes..you have to have a UMD game in FASTLOADER for it too work(it HAS to be a GAME not a MOVIE UMD)...but you can use Hookboot Launcher(same installation instructions as Fastloader)...to play them without a umd in the drive....
a.)you don't have to use the ripkits...they only make the game smaller in size to help fit onto smaller memory cards or to fit more games onto one memory card...nice quote ;)...but i still prefer using the original iso's...less trouble to have to worry about...

2.) Most of them are pretty much safe...or in working order...usually the ones that a extremely small have had a ripkit run through them(meaning it has taken out the music or video(cutscenes) or both)

3.)Wipeout Pure will work...they had that game dumped a long time before there were any launchers and loaders...that's an old message left by the uploader..so yes you can play that game...so just put the iso for wipeout in the ISO folder(that's on your Root Directory)

@Enixdq7...hey man you almost had it...just don't put everything IN the psp folder, here's what it should look like:

ROOT DIRECTORY(the first window that pops up..the ISO, ISOSPLIT, ISOMISC, and PSP folders will all be on the same window...)
-+ISO
| |
| |-< place my ISOs here(WINNING ELEVEN 9'S ISO(lfc-we9r.ISO))>
|
-+ISOMISC(backpic.bmp)
|
+ISOSPLIT(empty)
|
+PSP(also on the ROOT DIRECTORY)
| |
| +--- GAME/
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER/
| | |
| | +--- EBOOT.PBP
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER%/
| |
| +--- EBOOT.PBP
|
+SAVEDATA

good luck...holla ;)

Hi,Dear evnflow:
Q1:
ROOT DIRECTORY(the first window that pops up..the ISO, ISOSPLIT,ISOMISC, and PSP folders will all be on the same window...),what dose that mean??????????????

it means these four folder(ISO, ISOSPLIT, ISOMISC,PSP)must inside the
PSP's folder(play station portable)and the folder name's PSP,is that right?????

Q2:
I still have a problem to load ISO file because everytime while i push the memory stick icon then the message(there are no games) appeared, why???????

pls tell me the solution to solve the problem, thks very much!!!
