@enixdq7...the root directory...is the first window that pops up, when you plug in your psp to your computer..it has the PSP folder on it...this window is where you are going to place the ISO, ISOSPLIT, and ISOMISC folders...and you place the game iso's in the ISO folder...this will allow you to play the games...you are going to the memory stick icon under the SAVE GAME and UMD icons...
+PSP(also on the ROOT DIRECTORY)

@samuraj...that error means you don't have the folders in the correct layout...use the above graph to help you also...

Hi,Dear evnflow:
I have already put these 3 folders(ISO,ISOSPLIT,ISOMISC)in the same window with the folder PSP(the root directory...is the first window that pops up, when you plug in your psp to your computer..it has the PSP folder on it).Then put PSP folder which contain GAME,fastloader,fastloader% inside the PSP folder

I also put lfc-we9r.ISO inside the ISO folder.
while i am going to the memory stick icon under the SAVE GAME and UMD icons...i push circle button it says"there are no games" and
not allowed for me to push any X button,how come?????????

Use umd 8.c. Most games you wont need a UMD in the drive and all the others that were not playable (death jr.) work nice. Follow everything evenflow says exactly. Everything is simple. you just need to do some trial and error after reading the read-me. don't expect everything on a silver plate.

No it's not that. i have everthing in the right place but it dosn,t start the game...
I se a smiley but when i press x it says the same thing: this game cannot start...

@samuraj...hey man..what is your firmware? 1.0? 1.50? 1.51? 1.52? 2.00? also give me a list of ALL folders AND files that you got from the downloaded fastloader...sounds like you may be missing a file...

Hi my firmware is 2.00
And i have al the files i need: FASTLOADER, FASTLOADER%,ISO,ISOMISC and ISOSPLIT.
I just don't get it.

i thought it had to be your firmware...sorry man, can't run Fastloader or any other launcher on a 2.00, YET!!...there is a lil' activity about homebrew being able...

fastloader V0.07 has a built in umd dumper...just make sure you have a memory stick that is big enough for the game...i use a 1gig...it holds most of the games out....but i'm waiting to get a 2gig(don't have the money right now)...if you need help with it, just ask...holla ;)

so, if you've updated your PSP to version 2.0, the fastloader wont work? ive updated mine and ive been trying to make this fastloader thing work for hours. HELP ME

jewajean...sorry as of right now...no loaders will work for firmware version 2.0...fastloader will only work on version 1.50...

Hi have tried this a hundred times before but when i get to the part in "vcdromX" drag files over to the right hand side nothing happens???
Anyone help???
VcdromX:
download it and once you extract it...look for an icon called "VcdromX"...(I'm going to use Fifa as an example in this guide) open this file up and a window will pop up on the screen type in "C:\Fifa" and make sure that the "FCD" button is checked...now click the left "??" on the bottom..now go to the folder where you have the "PSP_GAME" and "UMD_DATA.BIN" files\folders and DRAG them over to the right side of the "VcdromX" window...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)" click on this..a window will pop up click "OK"...this will start to convert this file to an ".FCD" file...now once this is done go back to the top left corner and to the "??F" box..this time go down to where it says "??????C"..this will bring up another pop up window click on the folder icon on the top box and go to the C:\ and look for the file labeled "Fifa.FCD"...now click open or double click on that file and it will put that name in the pop up window that showed up...now click on the top right box ( next to the folder looking icon) labeled "??" and it will start to create an iso image file for you...you will have to close this window out because it will stay stuck on 100% once finished..but once it reaches 100% it is ok to close it...

I,m running firmware 1.5 and when i press x on spongebob, i get the following error: The game could not be started(80020148)
I also have a corrupted file icon, no matter what game I try.
Any suggestions please this is driving me crazy.

sorry everyone...been out of town last few days...
@crfbirdy...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)"...
@wobs...don't put the ISO folder IN the PSP folder...it needs to on the same window as the PSP folder...it sounds like you might be putting that folder in it...if i'm wrong sorry...also are you putting a umd in the drive when starting the fastloader...and putting the ISO file in the ISO folder(if it is PSP_GAME\UMD_DATA.BIN file\folders...or in the RAR format..it won't work either)
let me know how it comes out..holla ;)

Greetz! Ive got a Jv1.0 PSP and I can't get any of the Fastloader v7 or Umdemulator v8c to work. I'm using several different ISOs and I'm sure that all the directories are fine and everything is where it is supposed to be. I found a fastloader PBP for v.1 but it just hangs at the "initializing" screen and the Umdemulator cannot run at all (gives me the cannot run game error.... screen). Seems like I should have an advantage sice I have v1.0, but the loaders aren't doing it for me. Any advice would be appreciated! Cheerz!

@kavika...hello and welcome..you can't use fastloader V0.07 or Fastloader V0.08 on the 1.0 firmware...they weren't designed for it...however you can use DevHook Boot V0.22...it will work for you...

Thanks for the reply and welcome evnflow! Modiller made a 1.0FW release of the PBP for the Fastloader v.7, so it is the only one i can even get to run. Unfortunately no matter what ISO i load, it just hangs at the "initializing" screen. =( Thanks for the advice about DevHook Boot V0.22, it works for MGAcid but i havent had luck for any others yet. I guess i gotta just be patient? Patience, how long will that take? =) Ive tried doing combinations of stuff.. using the WAB FW changer to try and trick the loaders, but the Fastloader and new UMDemulator still see my real 1.0FW. Appreciate the advice!

@crfbirdy...hey ok...when you left click and hold it down...it won't let you drag it to the open screen on VcdromX? what is it doing?
@Kavika...Devhook(hookboot)V0.22 should work for all of the games...the fastloader V0.07 for 1.0 sounds like he packed it with PBPupacker...i've tried that method...and have gotten the same results...it won't work...what games are you trying to play with the hookboot launcher?

Hiya... With Hookboot I got Dead to Rights, Dynasty Warriors, and Gretsky NHL to work. No joy on Mercury, NBA Street, Ridge Racers, or Star Soldier unfortunately. (Some of these will start, but then hang before playing.) You have any luck with starting FW1.0 ISOs?
