Sure, any cd program that can read .ISO files will work....Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120, Fantom Cd...basically anything that can read a .ISO file.

your right on the ISO thing...but WinRAR is the best for when you want to extract the iso to your desktop or psp...and also about sneakkreepers..there is a file restriction...but it's generally the same as torrent site...(except i think much slower)..

hmmm... personnaly I use ISOBUSTER... it reads & sees everything (isos etc.)
even hybrid CDs.

Well I read this topic and Evenflo great info in here Maybe I can help you pspfrk with your prob that your having while flo is gone. Also I have a question of my own I'm using vdromx to recreate the .iso file but it says that my game has too many extentions and files.. Any other program that leaves me with no limit? As these are the files and extensions from the original game I know it is possible to have this many. Thanks and pspfrk please relay your problem here and take out the cell number pls

hey ok i dont know ur proble sry but myine is wen i try to extract the iso it says its a rar archive file??????? and im not gunna b home tomorrow so ill talk to u guys sunday ok thnx a lot guys and when i click open with notepad it says it is an iso file but when i put it on my psp it freezes wen i try to direct load it and i tried system menu but i have no earthly clue how to so reply or u can text my cell thnx

may i kno when i download a rar file it contains multiple files in it
then there is an iso file in each of them
what should i do ??
just get 1 of them to put into the iso folder ???

HI
open the file 001 with WinRAR and it should show you a .iso file extract this and put it in the ISO folder.

I need some help please. I downloaded the VCDRomX 3.8 Version cause I couldn't get my hands on the 3.6a version. So is there anyone that could guide me threw it with the VCDRomX 3.8 version. I have fast loader and my .rar file with the psp_game folder

hi im using umdemulator v0.08c
when i select the smiley face i dun hav the green menu show up
just a menu in black background
i can t even get to choose my iso
how ??

Is there a loader out there that does NOT require you to insert a UMD?
It's not really that big of a deal, just a friggin nuisance.

@oryp...yeah Devhook 22(also called Hookboot) will play without a umd in the psp...you can google it or get it from the link in my sig..
@pspfrk16..what is your firmware? 1.0? 1.50? 1.51? 1.52? 2.0? 2.01? 2.50? also what fastloader(umdemulator) version are you using? what game is it?
@jayquik03...where did you get VcdromX? also you are only putting the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.bin file into VcdromX, right? and no other files?
@alvloh...do you have an ISO folder(with the iso of the game you want to play) and the UMDEMULATOR folder(not the one with the EBOOT file in it, this one has the .BMP file and CORE file in it) next to the PSP folder(on your PSP)?
@krbydrom...sorry man don't know what version you are talking about...i'm using the original japanese version...sorry..

I'm using the kind that you have to buy after like using it for a month. But if you can tell me a place to download your version without having to be a member of anything. I sure will try. I have searched for it and alot of websites require a chinese language pack and i can't figure out how to download it, cause you have to have like a cd or something and I have windows XP.

@krbydrm..you can grab the chinese version from the link in my sig(i'm american, and no you do not need the chinese language pack..i have a guide for it)....

I have been following your discussion and I have downloaded the fastloader and the vcdromx I am okay with what i need to do with the fastloader however i am stuck on the dromx...where can i get a psp_game file and a bin file from...please can somebody help me...
also where is the best place to download games from.

if u have an iso of a game theres no need to build it in vcdromx.
however if u want something deleted to save place u would extract the iso using WinRAR.
when its done u will have a psp_game file and a bin file then u can delete what u want.
to convert it back to an iso u would use vcdromx.

Hello, I have been reeading this thread for about a week now and i can'tget my PSP to play iso's using fastloader v0.7 or UMD Emulator 8. I think i might be downloading the wrong ones but i am not sure. i already made the iso using vcdromx. i am on a 1.5 fimware i downgraded. any help would be appreciated.

yerp...i think i already put it all at d correct place.i've put d ISO,ISOMISC and ISOSPLIT at d root.while d FASTLOADER and FASTLOADER% in d game folder which is MY game folder.so..did i got it rite??as i was concern,i can't use FL v0.8 at my japan firmware 1.0 rite?so,what i have to do now is juz using Nero to convert d WinRAR file into a .ISO file?how to do that?btw,how is d icon for .ISO file should really look like?im now using d FL v0.7..

@EVERYONE...ok..when you make an ISO file with VcdromX you are going to to get an ISO but it's going to use WinRaR's icon...here's an easy way to tell if you have an ISO or if you need to extract it anymore...right click on the "suspect" rar file...then select OPEN(NOT OPEN WITH)..this should bring up a Winrar window...if there is an ISO file in this window..then EXTRACT ONCE more...if there is the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.bin file in it...DON'T EXTRACT anymore...it's already the ISO...just place it in the ISO folder on your psp....
@Pheonix...right now there are a few homebrew launchers for 2.0...but not many...to play downloaded ISO's...you will need to downgrade back down to the 1.50 firmware...afterdawn has a tutorial on it and you can grab one from the link in my sig also...
@trampy...you get the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.bin file when you extract the ISO file...but don't extract it to these folders\files, unless you want to run a ripkit on it...otherwise just put the ISO in the ISO folder on your psp and play..
@krbydrm...a sig is the last part of a message...mine has this "PSP HELP ---> then a link"...click on that link if you need some emulators or anything...
@Tech_Nyne...do you ahve the ISO, and UMDEMULATOR folder(the one with the .bmp and core file in it...not the one with the EBBOT file in it)..next to your PSP folder on your psp(not in the PSP folder)...and the UMDEMULATOR(the one with the EBOOT file in it) and UMDEMULATOR folders in the PSP\GAME directory(to get to this directory...double click on the PSP folder..then double click on the GAME folder...this will bring you to the PSP\GAME directory)
@asyr...fastloader won't work with fw 1.0...you might want to try Devhook(hookboot) V.22...it is supposed to work on fw 1.0...or you could just get the 1.5 eboot file and use it to upgrade(don't do it automatically...cuz it will update to 2.50...)you are going to have to manually update your firmware to get 1.5 firmware...

how do u actually use d vcdromx to convert an psp_game and d .BIN file into an .ISO file?i have d vcdromx v3.8 which is d english version...can u plz make a complete tutorial on how to use it..i think it will surely help lotsa guys here...tx..
