Hey, I'm having a hard time finding more info on video skipping. I have PQ Dvd to iPod Converter (purchased), and the finished video plays in great quality and audio, and they're in sync. However, the video plays on the iPod with skips, its jumpy, consistently. I own the 60GB 5G iPod. I've tried the 25 and 24 fps settings. Can anyone help me get it to run smoother? What would the settings need to be to be good quality (not just acceptable), and run without skips? Please help.

You can never be too careful ;)
My brother has tested it for ipod, he says it's easier and works pretty well if you pick at it a bit, (i dont know what he means by pick at it though.......) i trust him.

Fenix2144 - Is this just one video or does it do this all the time?

Hey, im ordering another DOCOMO P900iV that plays quick time (mpeg)videos, would all this conversion work on it??? It looks like this when playing videos.
note that its like 0.5 in wider than ipod video but smaller by around that same amount than PSP.
Any ideas man?

If it plays quicktime movies, Then i'd recommend using quicktime pro to convert the movies.
does it not play mp4 videos or 3gp videos? thats what phones usually play..

What media do you use for the DVD discs? Did you make them using just a conventional DVD Recorder?

Thanks for that...but do you not think its strange that windows media player says that the DVD RW does not exist in my drive..ie, doesnt recognise it? I think, if the media player worked, the PQDVD would?

Lethal, maybe you'll address my question this time since you seemed to ignore it last time I posted. I recently purchased the PQDVD software which was posted on this forum. I'm assuming that this is your software, but I could be wrong.
Is it possible to stretch the widescreen movies to fully fit on the screen of the iPod using this software? Everytime I try and use the stretch feature it seems to create an error and close the program down. Otherwise, I like the program and it has worked fine.

I have a problem with converting DVD's, I noticed someone else asked this question but there wasn't an answer I don't believe. The sound in most of the movies I've converted [with PQ DVD to iPod Video] is a little ahead of the actual picture. Could that be my computer's to slow to convert the video at the same pace as the sound? Usually I don't have the problem for the first few segments I convert, but as I get to the fifth or sixth one the audio is a good three seconds off. Very bothersome when trying to watch a speech.
Thanks for any help you have to offer.

Dear people
Im sure this was probably answered earlier in the post, i just feel like looking for it. I was wondering if this conversion works on all Limewire videos. I am getting a 5th gen ipod for the holidays, and I heard online that ipod will not accept videos from limewire that have a copywright, is this true. I want to know because we cant return it if I open the box. Please lemme know as soon as possible.

DarkJello - Neither myself nor dkmopq have managed to find a solution to the audio lag thing, i'm really sorry. But all I can suggest is that you try using another software.
Have a look here, buddy.
http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/14/how-to-convert-a-dvd-for-your-...
avegadro - Limewire video's will work on the ipod once they are converted appropriately. I have yet to come accross any videos on limewire that have copyright protection, as they rarely do, so you should be fine.
As for you, nolec5

you really think i'm gonna answer to that?? FYO this is not my software, none of it is. I am doing this voluntarily in my freetime.
You need to work on the way you address people who are helping you out.

I know if you want to drag the files in, you have to drag them into your library window, not the videos one.

Glad to help....
Anyway, with the website you suggested as an alternative, which I tried first. I get a warning message ASPI not available, DVDx won't be able to unlock DVD drive to read file bigger than 2GB. (Check for ASPI driver update at www.adaptec.com) Do you want to continue without ASPI?
Now, I've tried going to the website to find the ASPI (I have no idea what that is to tell you the truth) and I can't recall if I found it there or not. Could you possibly shed some light on this for me? The Xilisoft Video Converter works flawlessly for other files I have converted with it.
Thanks for the help
