a download will do you no good unless you have a modchip
It is like any other back up, you would need an original
copy of Swap Magic to boot the downloaded (back up) copy
of Swap Magic. Just buy a new set, and take better care of
your discs.

I'd like that too. If anyone has the 3.6 somewhere, it can be booted via older versions. I had an ISO for 3.0, but it's no better than the 2.0 DVD.

Thanks but no luck there. If anyone here has the actual disc, can you make an image for us? It'll be a very small file after RARing it up.

look, i was being nicer than i should have by helping you
before, and they did have 3.0 which would be just fine.
But now i just have to say this.
What you are asking is not only against forum rules, if you
had actually read them. But is illegal. Find it yourself.
No one can make and send you an ISO.
Just do what everyone else did and buy it!

Your only other option is looking for fixes like cdloader to make older swap magic discs work with some new games:

swapmagicfix.com

PS2 - V4 W/Flip top, Swap Magic 3.3
Burning - Sony DRU 720A
Dvd Decrypter

If it loads, but it choppy, your version of SM shouldn't be the problem. I fixed a choppy video problem on Tiger 05 by rebuilding, otherwise your media could be the problem. Have you tried both + and -R's? My V4 loves +R's, which is strange by the accounts of others.

how to rebuild.
But the older version of Swap Magic just has some issues
with loading some games no matter what you do.
That is just the price you pay for using Swap Magic, when you
want an upgrade you have to pay for it.
That is why i got a DMS4 Pro chip, it may cost more in the beginning
but upgrades are free downloads.

Honestly this is not an illegal request. The Swap Magic discs are not copyrighted and contain absolutely no type of EULA or anything of that nature. 3.0 is not much better than 2.0 by the way. Thanks for your help anyway.

"3.0 is not much better than 2.0 by the way."

i have owned both, have you?
yes, it has much better game compatibility than 2.0
I don't work for Swap Magic so it is not like i am not telling you
the truth so you will buy their discs, i could care less really.
I would suggest a mod chip myself, but if you are too cheap
to buy a new set of discs that is just out of the question.

Yes, I have 3.0 as well. It doesn't boot Call of Duty 2.

I have to agree with steimy on this one,Swap Magic isn't really the most successfull boot process. It is safe I give it that, but they are not real great with upgrades as you have to keep buying the discs in order to get them.If you have to upgrade then you might as well get a modchip, because you will probably spend as much money with upgrades for Swap Magic as you would a modchip.I have to buy a modchip real soon also so don't feel bad,not only that though a modchip is at 99.9% boot rate and with the latest mods they are DVD9 compatible. With Swap Magic you are going to end up ripping games that are DVD9 to reduce to DVD5,and even with the latest games rebuilding is required for some of them.A DMS chip or Matrix chip can boot almost all 1:1 backups, infact I haven't heard any bad things from either one of those modchips except on installs probably.DMS is coming out with an improved DMS chip called DMS Extreme.I think I am going to get this mod when it comes out.

The only one present on p2p is 3.0 ,and google will bring you to a site to buy it only.I have already checked it isn't available so far that I have seen.

There are slim fixes for the laser burnouts in the PStwo systems. If the lens burns out on a PS2 system it is caused by a chip that is not on the motherboard. The reason people are experiencing laser burnouts is for the fact they don't care to spend the extra money or don't even know they need a laser fix.I don't think a modchips mess up systems,as I have one in my Xbox also and it has lasted well over a couple years now.Another thing to look at is installs,if done professionally it will last a long time.If you are new to soldering and do it yourself, chances are your going to have flaws which can mess up the system also. When you get a modchip you are taking a chance, but it is the best solution out as it covers everything. This is something that alot of other modchip users don't mention either diagnosis. You can run tests on your system to see what is causing problems,it is built into the system. It doesn't always work, but it is pretty good at finding errors. The rest is done by manually finding the problem, but its not that hard for real to be honest.
