I heard so much commotion on this software that I just had to try it. After downloading the trial version, I eagerly opened it to compress the video_ts files my powerful decrypter ripped for me. However, this damn thing freezes on my pc as if asking me to pay first. Quite frankly, I would like to test its functionality first before the cash or credit vanishes into someone's account. How do I work this thing? By the way, I have a 1.7 gig AMD Athlon running on Win ME. Does this play a factor?

FREE is good!!!

I have an athlon xp 2600+ 2.08ghz running on windows xp. 512mb ddr333 ram, geforce4 ti4600, 400watts psu.

When I run dvd2one, it lags down my system. I can't figure out why it lags. In my performance panel, it's showing less than 50% cpu usage and less than 300 total pf usage.

i myself have used it and it is a main movie only product , however if you use it in conjunction with a software package called make it easy which is written by jdobbs you can achieve full dvd back ups . I have to say it is a very good package and well worth the money , the new version you can select the output size of the movie . just go get it its only $42 or so

not sure about Win ME, might want to check at www.dvd2one.com for compatiblity. also, just remember that every time you include "other" things with the main movie such as the menu items, etc., you're sacrificing movie quality. doing full dvd backups to 1 dvd is, in my opinion, just plain stupid!
like mikeh4692 states, "it is a main movie only product" and it works great. also, it doesn't lag down my system at all...but i do not do anything else while the process is running....nothing...and there is nothing running in the backround either! if you do, you're inviting problems. all video processing software whether free or not are resource hogs! mike
