For anyone else that is having the problem with opening the system file with notepad... you don't open it directly, you open the program notepad from the start menu and then go to file, open.. then choose the system file in the folder where you put all the game files
I even said it in the guide when i said open the system file with Notepad you have the right file just open it with notepad

It depends, my version is PAL so it might be a bit bigger because of the other language movie files etc.. mine come out at 3.87Gb after rebuild.

Which rebuild method did you use?

I used my usual method of isobuster/sony cddvdgen/dos prompt... I just borrowed the info from 2kwic about changing the system file to make the sound work better and not skip/repeat.
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with the other method, I just use the one that always gives me good results and that I am used to using.

WTF..some people are so lazy, 2kwic had the link to download apache2 on this thread a long time ago. It'd be so simple to just download the program, open the iso to get the order.. then you can continue to rebuild.
The program would come in handy for any other rebuilds too.. if not you'd be asking the same questions over and over again..

Well i guess you did something wrong boo boo man you see others got it right look if you can follow directions good then you wont have a problem i guess it's easy for me because i been doing this for a long time if your using 2.0 them you might have to use dvdloader i really don't know because i don't have 2.0 anymore i like to stay in on top of my game so i upgrade to make it easy but i know if it worked with MC Exploit Cogswap it has to work with 2.0 i have 3.3 3.6 and the HDD with hdadvance and i know it works buddy have fun people like i said what ever works for you

I'm pretty much a total noob at this. I just have a quick question or two.

I think I've managed to follow the OP's guide ok. But I'm a little baffled by what SLUS is. What does this mean? Where does this come from? Do I just type in SLUS and make up a random number? I just seem to have missed something there I think.

And also, at the end, it says if I want to put this onto a HDD I'll need to replace SLUS_boot with SWBFRNT2.ELF? I'm assuming I'd have to do this by putting the HDD in my PC and copying that file from the directory I extracted the original image to? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hopefully someone can help.

I appologise for my noobness :-p

Me again.

After further research, I gather that NTSC games have SLUS file and PAL games have a SLES file. That's what threw me I think.

I have a further question on that however. The file on the Battlefront 2 DVD is called 'SLES_535.01', when entering that info into CDGen, do I put SLES then 53501 or do I just use 535?

I appologise again for my noobness :-o
