Aaaand reply #3.
I made a copy with SLES 53501 as the info in CDGen.
Once burned, I put the DVD in the PS2 and booted up, I get the PS2 logo but then I get returned to the System Browser screen.
I loaded in HD LOADER and installed the DVD. I then plugged the HDD into my PC and ran WinHIIP to check the settings. Battlefront 2 is already set to boot 'SWBFRNT2.ELF' and mode 3 is active, I still just hang on a black screen if I try to run the game though.
Is there anything obvious I am doing wrong? Could someone maybe talk me through it in really basic kiddy terms? lol.
Thanks again.

Why did you remove some movie files?
If you do it the exact way of the first poster it will work

hey do u think it will work if i use isobuster for the first step, instead of appache 2. i downloaded them both but for some reason it will not let me export file on cddvdgen. an error message that its too short location length (less than 5000 sectors) whatever that means.

Howdoo everyone.
I've been following this thread and would like to ask a question or 2....
I have Star Wars Battlefront 2 and I'm trying to follow the advice given so far. The 1 piece of software I am trying to find is CDDVDGEN 1.2
I've looked on the usual places mentioned and websites, have even downloaded a copy of it but it doesn't work. There appears to be something wrong with the installer.
Can anyone advise where I can get this piece of software or could anyone email it to me?
I've also tried on a torrent search engine but nothing is coming up.
Alternatively, is there another program to use instead of CDdvdgen?
I'm using :-
NEC 3250 DVD +- Writer
Ritek 8x DVD-R
Swap Magic 3.6
DVDecrypter
As a side note, I have used Datawrite 16x DVD-Rs and they have worked fine.
Just a problem with Star Wars Battlefront 2 so far, please help! And yes, I am a Noob!

Thanx for the link but for some reason I am getting the exact same error message when I double click on the Setup Icon .....
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose "close" to terminate the application
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
Is there another program to use instead of this one?

What Operating system etc are you running?
I've never seen that before... it's definitely something strange goign on with your comp, I just downloaded and tried the setup.exe and it works fine.
You did extract all the files from the RAR to a folder on your hard drive right? before you attempted to run the setup.exe file?

Anyway, nobody here said about copying it illegally... most of us have the retail version of this game and are backing it up so that we can play the game without getting the original all scratched up.
If you've downloaded it and then followed these instructions, that's probably where the problem is... either that or the discs you were using!!

it is not the dics because i have always used the same ones. why dont you try posting a torrent of the image on isohunt.com and i can download that one and try it. the directions are pretty simple so i did not make a mistake. i use swap magic 3.3 with a version 7 ps2.
