this is my first time in buring anything to vcd. i downloaded some movies from kazaa, i converted into avi and then to a vcd format by using winmpg. i tried playing it on my dvd player (sony dvp-ns700v) and it didn't work. it says 'cannot read' wot is the problem? i burned the vcd by using a cd burner(data files), do i need a dvd burner? am i doing it completly wrong? can i get step by step instructions? i realy apriciate it. thanks

Does your DVD player support VCD MPEG1 format?Most new players on the market today do. You stated that you burned a Data CD. Most DVD players will read a Data or VCD formatted file but some players won't read a Data disk. Download Nero Burning Rom, the latest version from www.nero.com. You have 30 days to try this free demo download. Upon start up close the CD wizard that pops up. There will be options to burn a VCD or SVCD Disk. If your Kazaa file is 'VCD ready' then it will burn it to a disk. You also mentioned an AVI file. AVI is usually associated with MPEG2 or SVCD formatted files. A lot of DVD players on the market won't play SVCD files whether burned as Data Disks or formatted as SVCD files. Drag the Kazaa file into the Nero window when you are ready to burn your disk. It will tell you whether it is compatible or not. If the Kazaa file is an AVI file it is more than likely an SVCD file or even an unsupported codec like DivX, making it impossible to play in most DVD players. There is free shareware available that can convert your file like www.tmpgenc.net (the latest version) that can render your file into MPEG1 VCD ready format for transfer to a CD Rom disk. It's a little complicated at first but there's lots of help available at this forum to guide you through the rough stuff. Hope this gets you started.

i downloaded nero, but its giving me so much trouble. the first time i was burning it stop and said that there's not enough memory, it take too long to burn, so i left it over night and now it's saying that it was aborted! wots happening?

I'm not familiar with all your computer particulars but if its' running out of memory it sounds like your computer isn't able to keep up with the supply of information to the burner while copying your cd. Try running a slower cd burning speed and watch the buffer statis bar in the burning window in Nero while writing the cd. If it's dropping down close to zero then that could be your problem. You can adjust the burning speed in the burn window in Nero. You can also click on the 'test only' option also located in the burn window. This allows Nero to make a test run of your file to see if it can locate and place your file to the cd without actually trying to burn a cd. It saves wasting a cd disk if the program is unable to burn to the disk. If the test is sucessful than you can burn your VCD. I've made numerous VCD's with Nero and a 600 MB file usually only takes about 4-5 minutes to copy with a burner speed of 16x. Good luck.

at last i burned a vcd! but the picture on my tv is in black n white, and the sound is slightly delayd. wot could be the problem? i think that the reason why its black n white is due to ma tv (it's probaly not ntsc compatable) its just the sound im concern about! thanks

What speed did you burn at? It it reccommended that you burn VCD at 1x-4x maximum.

step 1:

for burning vcd movies is to download kaza lite v2 k++ (perferred language) file size 2308 or 2309 kb either file size is execelent put out by random nut thanks random. reason to use this program is because it sets participation level to sumpreme being and doesnt install any spyware or adware. remember to unistall kaza before installing kaza lite.
lavasoft adware remover will remove any adware or spy ware from your computer. avalible from kaza.


PLEASE REMEMBER KAZA WORKS BECAUSE SOMEONE SHARED WITH YOU SO PLEASE SHARE WITH SOMEONE ELSE THE MORE YOU SHARE THE FASTER YOUR DOWNLOADS and mine. for verified movies look for poormansdvd approved

step 2:

down load FROM KAZA TMPEGnc Plus 2 59 47.155 file size 6939 kb instructions for cracking are inclosed in the winrar folder just unzip and follow instructions. i use winrar to unzip.

step 3:

i perfer to use nti cd maker 2000 professional 5.1.17 - with crack file size 37,564 kb instructions r inclosed for installing read the read mes first its simple enough to do.

step 4: now after installing above software you can only burn mpg files to a cd-r disk "vcd"
burn slow for better quality vcd's

step 5: if the movie is an AVI file you need to convert it to mpg format. TMPEGnc wizard will do it automatically for you pick nts for america or japan or pal if your european dont expect this to be done in 1-2 minutes it'll take a couple of hours to convert i set mine up before i go to bed and burn the vcd in the morning

step 6: if the mpg file you convered is to large to fit on one disk you can split it with a program called easy video splitter from kaza

step 7: now your ready to burn your vcd open nti up click vcd/svcd option
drop and drap mpg file to burn section set a low burn speed for better quality vcd's and start burning

step 8: go get a cup of coffee and relax
