Hello.I really need help as I am using limewire pro to download music to my ipod,at first all went well,then I got clever and started deleting music from my pc.The problem I now have is that the music I download from limewire goes into "derek aldridge limewire",whilst my "derek aldridge ipod", gets nothing. What have I done to cuase this mayhem and how do I get out of this mess.
Looking fwd to assistance,errr! I am not technically minded.
Many thanks

Hello Derek, welcome to the forums.

I would be glad to help you with your problem, but I cannot understand what you mean. Could you be a little more clear with what you asking (no need to be technical, but just clear). :)

From what I have gathered, you want to move your music files from your 'limewire' folder, to your 'iPod' folder, is that correct?

Dear Lethal.Many thank`s for your response.I have to admit now, that I have made such a pigs ear of everything as I get deeper into the mire of Limewire and my ipod.I have tried removing & re-installing both parts but of course as soon as I log in it all resurfaces.Now I have 2 Limewire Pro players displayed showing different mb of music, then when I plug in the ipod it also displays but in a grey format which does not respond to clicking,no new tracks are loading onto the ipod.I suspect I have messed up the Limewire setting for playing and saving to a directory but as I have tried to correct things the end product,for me anyway, is mayhem and frustration.

aw, ok man; here's the deal.

If you want all your music from 'derek aldridge limewire' onto your itunes and iPod, simply open up iTunes, then do

File------>
Add Folder To Library------>
Then...find your limewire folder
Click 'OK'

Now your iTunes will have all the songs from your limewire folder will be in iTunes and you can put them onto the iPod.

NOTE:- Do not delete songs from your computer and you will be ok. :)

Lethal.Thanks again for your help.I have all the songs on the ipod in the file "derek aldridge`s limewire" and have tried importing them into "derek aldridge`s ipod" (which displays after connecting with the pc and going through the "do not disconnect" process) however nothing arrives on the ipod.
Sorry to keep troubling you but somebody out there must have been in a similar predicament to mine and I am sure there is a simple trick that I have missed.
Best Regards
Derek
ps; I dare not ask Apple to help out with a file sharing problem :)
having already been given short shrift by LimeWire Pro :(

Ok, I think it is just a basic failure to update. Plug in your ipod, right click on the 'derek aldridge`s iPod', then left click 'update'.

By the way, don't worry, everyone is friendly around here (apart from the moderators ;) [j/k] and we all had to start somewhere man. Welcome to AfterDawn!
