I am trying to rip dvd's to my iPod, but i wanted to use free software. I got DVDFab Decrypter and Videora DVD to iPod converter. I tried ripping Swordfish and then converting over using videora. Everything worked fine but it all came out in the french version. Any suggestions? I am trying to rip Saw right now to see if it was just that DVD.

No it actually came up as many different .VOB files. I figured out that i must have a limit on the file sizes because when i converted over to .mp4 the movie was only 20 minutes long. So i had many different files. Should i just keep trying till i find the right one and how can i make it so that the .VOB files are just one big file?

I'm having the same problem with the languages. I've used AnyDVD and Videora Converter to successfully copy The Meaning of Life to my ipod, but when I tried Tomb Raider (the first and second movies) every other file comes out in French. I'm getting 4 .VOB files of 0.9MB for each movie, and the 1st and 3rd come out in English. Since it looks like DVD Decrypter isn't available anymore, is there another program I can use to get it to come out as a single .VOB (and preferably in English, as my French isn't so great)

I've had problems using PQ DVD.

When I ripped some DVDs the picture is OK, but the sound is full of
tweaks. Not clear.

When I converted mpg files everything was OK - picture and sound excellent.

DVDs are problem. Help!

That's the thing.

I have only Nero Recode (not 2) and my options are limited.

Do you know where I can find Nero Recode 2?

I don't have QuickTime option in my Nero Recode.

Thanks.

I tried...

It seems that Nero Recode 2 is not stand alone program.
It comes with NeroVison Express 3 and it's free for the
Nero 6.6 and later users.

Then i found this:

ftp://ftp.Nero.com/NeroDigital_RC-2.2.6.17c.exe

which should be only Nero Recode 2 but unfortunately
the link is not working...
