I had the same problem with my friend NBA Live 06. Is the game scratched? is it a backup?

What type of media are the games burned on? If you're not sure, put your burned games in your DVD-ROM drive, open DVD Decrypter, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. Compare it to what you see here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

probably burned at wrong speed and the games were not rebuilt? amd yes it could be media problem too. it's best if you get some better media extract the ISO and burn again but check for dummy files if there is some, rebuild the ISO and burn at at least under 4x speed. i like to burn at 1x.it's also a good idea to check if you see rings in the dye, that's maybe why the ps2 is struggling to read the DVD.

Madden 06 is Playable but it has pros without rebuilding, I usually have a 50-50 chance of booting it when I burnt it straightly

And when I meant EA Games, I meant EA SPORTS (Obviously) Mr GreenDay boy :D

LOL... oh well never mind :) And less of the "boy" if you don't mind, LOL.. i'm a little old to be called boy!! :)

Hey, in another thread.. about universal DNA$ code, you said that there are some for PAL games, how does that work then? I thought that if several peopel are trying to use the same code they wouldn't be able to go online at the same time? I'm just trying to figure out how it's possible if there are universal codes.

Well you could patch the game to PAL. You can find a NTSC2PAL patcher here: http://teammodders.com/download.php?action=category&cat_id=8 You have to register, but it's free.

would that be the reason??

No that's not the reason for the bad load times. I think crap media is the reason for that. Some EA sports games are troublesome. I'd try copying the game onto some quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. If that fails, then worry about rebuilding.

@Paddymail, the Universal ID for PAL. I've gone to the trouble to show you I was right, and you were wrong :D

(All this is taken off the PAL DNA codes started by needs)

This is on the PAL DNA$ Codes on that topic, this was posted by needs
Quote:
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland PAL Australia:

xx xx 00 60 44

And this one's for everyone, it's a European Universal PAL DNAS, I had success with it with Tony Hawk's AMerican Wasteland, the DNAS I got off it was the one I wrote above, but I used the Universal DNAS and it works great.

Universal European DNAS ID: xx xx 01 40 C4

It should work with all PAL games.
Also another person who posted one
Quote:
Nope thats it just the disc id and my one works perfectly fine also I have a universal id which is said to work with any game only for PAL games and machines.

Quote:
woody: It's supposed to be a Universal PAL DNAS ID.

It shoud work fine. I used an orginal copy of THAW and retrieved the DNAS using the Disc ID Utility, though I patched THAW with that Universal ID instead and it works great.
And just like you paddymail, people don't believe (example in this post
Quote:
lol, I can play Fifa 2006 and NHL 2006 just make sure you get the right codes! I can't seeing the universal code ever working as each game has a different code thats the same for that game, so the database wouldn't let one ID be the same in all company's and all games would they!
than needs posted this
Quote:
woody: I wouldn't have a clue about swap magics dude, always used a chip.

banting: well, ive used it, and it works. it won't be the same id on each game as you always change the first four numbers/letters.
raiden said this
Quote:
just to confirm the universal PAL dnas works fine with svsr 2006
And heres what you thought paddymail
Quote:
if theres a universal code then woould'nt you get kicked off if somebody else was using the universal code to?
And these were the folowing post
Quote:
That's what I thought, but just assumed that you would change the fisrt four digits, as with other games. Can anyone confirm?
Quote:
if thats the case then that guy who posted it is a dummy cause to can't show full id's
Quote:
It doesn't matter how many people use the universal DNA$, just like it doesn't matter how many people use any games' DNA$ as long as the first four numbers/letters are changed.

oh so then the guy who posted it is a dummy it should have said

Dont read this part unless you've reached puberty paddymail

Nahh Watkins U Prick im tryina help ur bitch ass by supylin tha damm code be thankful u hoe tha reason i didnt put any of that xxx shit in was cos i though it wouldnt work if you changed the first few ya prick , and thats a PAL universal dnas code oh and needs is right you dont get kicked off so enjoy...

Now Now, nobody like's a sore winner. I believe you were in need of some info regarding a MGS2 DVD-9 to DVD-5 guide. I found it after a little searching, so I could say the same stuff to you lol. Is there a universal NTSC DNA ID?

@3dluis - I already said that i was mistaken, so what's with the hostility and stuff...
And yes I do believe I am well past puberty at 34 years old... so cut out the shit!!
I never said that I didn't believe you... I said to the O/P on that thread that I didn't think there was such a thing because I had never heard it.. before you replied and said there was actually... I asked a simple question, asking you to explain it..not have a bug up your ass about something. chill the f**k out man!!

I think you may have me mixed up with someone else there, I can't remember taking part in any discussion about DNA$ before... I don't use my games for online play and so don't use DNA$ at all. That's why I asked how it worked with the universal then.

Biggup the persian massive :P i know ur problem as a friend of mine acquired these games. He wanted me to backup these games so i obliged. Anyways, the problem for NBA Live 06 is that its a huge game and for some reason the games are burned at very low speeds. When i backed up my friend's NBA Live 06 for him, i rebuilt it using CD/DVDGEN,ISOBUSTER, DVD Decrypter, Genies IMl2Iso tool, and Nero. You can find a guide on how to do this on this site. This cuts the game's size down, makin it less taxing for the ps2 to run it, and if u burn the dvd at about 2.4x-4x, it'll run like a dream. My friend said that after this, where the game took 2 minutes to load half-time breaks, it took a few seconds.

I have personal experience of FIFA06, and u should just try rebuilding using only ISOBuster, and Nero, and then burning at 2x-2.4x does the trick, although the game itself is a bit lame compared to Pro evolution soccer 5.

NFSU:MOST-WANTED i think only needs the same treatment as FIFA2006, but i cant be too sure.

Just to reassure you, its definately not the media, and as ur using swap magic 2.0, the closer you get to the limit of what swap magic can load(SM cannot load anything above 4.36gb), the worse the DVD plays, in my experience anyway, so its always worth giving a game over 4.2gbs a rebuild.

How do you know it's not the media? Usually when somebody says it's not the media, they're mistaken. I have all those games backed up on good media except FIFA 2006. With NBA Live 2006 I agree with you, I have a modchip and had to rebuild it. You're theorectically not supposed to have to rebuild games with a chip, but in that case I did. I've since burned several EA games to Taiyo Yuden TYG02 and not had a single rebuild, skip, lag, or boot failure. Quality media makes a huge difference. I'm not picking on you, it's just that it gets my goat when people demphasize the need for quality media. It makes my job that much harder.

i agree they should have no problem with good media but even with the best of media if your burner is pants your going to get bad burns,

for chips not sure but most wanted i rebuilt and fifa as the loads time where crap and with the rebuild they work alot better and im using go5
