okay i have the full version of pq dvd to ipod registered and everything and i have treid every different program i can find. videora+dvd decrypter, ipod media studio, cucusoft ( good but dont wanna pay for full version) super dvd to ipod and quicktime to name a few. anyways, when i put my dvd in and start up pq dvd to ipod, i set everything up so i have it set to rip the full movie, and the audio is 6/6 and video about 75 percent. i then start the movie and press record it as it says to do. it works great for about 20 mins then when it gets into the mvie it will suddenly stop and and " pq dvd to ipod has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvienience." and it shuts down. or, it will either restart my comp or it will just turn off pq dvd to ipod without warning. there is no specific pattern either in the way it shuts down. i have no idea how to fix this as i have been looking to put movies on my ipod since christmas looking at every different program i see. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks in advance, sorry for any inconvienience

I have the same exact problem, mine will also every now and then shut down completely. I have tried to contact the company by email, twice and have not recieved a response yet.
let me know if you figure this out, it is very frustrating.

What video and audio decoders are you using? You can check this under Options/DVD Settings.

I don't know much about the internal workings of PQ DVD but it works well on my machine with Intervideo decoders, and my SWAG is that PQ DVD may have issues with the implementation of some decoders.

hey, i know that the videora converter works well even the free trial one, i have used it on my ipod and it works fine for me, some times if the file isnt suported by the videora, or what ever else your using, then that might be why. my videora file was empty one day and i dont kno why, but i think when you get the free one (if thats what you have) it think you only have it for a certain amount of time, redownload everything you are using and keep the old folders, name them differently, so you can have your old downloaded and your new one together, if they are the same title it will write over the old on, see if the new one works, and when it says that thers an error click, on more infomation, copy, paste it on an error decoding website to see what kind it is, then go from there on, thats all i have for ya right now.

Can someone help me config this program it's a full version too, i set the audio 6/6 and the video output is about 75% like the first guy that posted Rob28 the only issue i have is that i tried to convert a short clip of the dvd to try it out and there seems to be no delay in the audio but the picture quality looks pretty shitty it's kinda blurry. I am also using a program called "ImToo Dvd to iPod" and "ImToo Dvd Ripper" i converted about 8 Dvd's with these programs and 2 out of the 8 had a slight delay in the audio, it was like watching the old Bruce Lee movies.

Have you tried having the video at, say, 1750kbps? You will notice a huge improvement in quality..
