Trema was freaking hard. Hard to get to and hard to fight, even with the Catnip accessory and the rest of it. Though i only fought him once. True FFX-2 didnt live up to FFX, but it was good in its own right. I actually went out and bought X after i played X-2, cos i wanted to know the full story behind it. Just because it breaks away from the norm, doesnt mean it shouldnt be classed as an FF Game. Remember FFVIII? lol dont know bout the rest of ya but that Junction system seemed like pure s*** to me...

i like the battle system in x2. what i dont like is the level of confusion the dresspheres put on me. plus can you give them new weapons or no?
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

No u cant give any of the characters NEW weapons, and i found the dressphere system fairly simple... Theres only a few that really need to be used, just keep all of em on their default ones, u shouldnt really find it difficult. Once u get Dark Knight dressphere though, build AP on that, cos it'll be really helpful against most of the bosses, especially the Black Sky ability.

Plus all the sphere changing in X-2 was like Barbie Dress up. FFX's sphere system was easy enough. By the end of the game, there wasn't too much point in using Magic. To beat all the hard bosses you needed Auto Phoenix, Break HP Limit, and Break Damage Limit. Besides which, when you're dealing with bosses that have 10,000,000 HP, Magic is worthless anyway. You need overdrives like Wakka's and Tidus' final ones to slay those bad boys. Maybe FFX-2 isn't as horrible as I think it is, I did spend a couple dollars "acquiring" a copy. I just was disappointed that it was an average sequel to an outstanding game.

Eh I think FF: Spirits Within was awful. The CG was great, the plot, not so much.

Did u ever fight Penance in FFX? Probably not seeing as he was a special "PAL" Version boss. He Had 12,000,000HP, hardest boss in the game. His name appears on the world map after you beat all the Dark Aeons (which are pretty difficult in their own right) God Knows Auto Phoneix saved me, i used all 99 in that fight, Wakka, Tidus and Rikku, all with Celestial Weapons and maxed out stats. Damn that was difficult... He has two forms and lethal attacks, so its necassary to double the party's HP before you start striking. Quick Hit is a must, and Attack Reels.

No I never did fight pennance, I only had the NTSC-US version. Sound's very interesting. Damn you Square, I thought I had done all there was to do in FFX when I beat Nemesis. In fact, I don't remember Dark Aeons at all in the game. I hope my memory isn't that bad. Are you referring to when you fight them at the end of the game, while they're possesed by Yu Yevon? If not, then there's a big gap in the old memory lol. N/M I did some checking, and they're definitely not in the U.S. version. That sucks. I think FFX International would be worth playing thru just for the oppurtunity to face the Dark Aeons and Pennance. I would love to kick the crap out of em. Cheers!

Well they are in the PAL version, and theyre Damn hard to beat. All the Aeons appear in theyre Dark Forms and have HP ranging from 800,000 to 9,000,000 or something. Nemesis was hard to beat, again i only beat him once, not that i needed to beat him any more times. I had got a loada experience from the Dark Aeons and the combination monsters before then. i had maxxed out stats with everyone except Kimahri (Darn Ronso...)
Only another 32 minutes left til i get DQVIII on my hard drive!

Also Anima was a better Aeon in the PAL And International Versions, as he could do like 20 hits, all at 99,999 if she'd been maxxed out. Though this didnt work on the Dark Aeons, and they werent much help. So Auto-Phoenix, Stamina Tabelt, Quick Hit, Attack Reels were all essential in beating the harder bosses.

Hey
I just wanted to say, that I think that FFXII is going to be on a DVD9!
First they(Sqaure-Enix) wanted to deliver FFXII on 2 DVD´s(because of that numerous Render-cutscenes), but I don´t think so!
What do you think?

Well hope it will rebuild to under 4.5 or I'm screwed (swap magic 3.6), Final fantasy dirge of cerberus nearly 'acquired' ;) (another 2 hours) then think I'll lock myself in my room for a couple of days or so! lol. In japanese but think i'll suffice. And why is everyone talking about spirits within and FFx-2 when it should clearly be more of on the lines of how effing brilliant Final Fantasy advent children is and how kick ass dirge of cerberus is going to be?

Games shape a series, and to my knowledge there hasnt been a single disappointing or low ranked game in the Final Fantasy series to date. ALL the games need to be discussed, not just the ones that are legendary such as FF7 (still my favorite game in the series.) Final Fantasy X-2 was part of that series, and it did not let the series down. However, it did steer the series in a different direction, with its female-oriented role play, and being the first true sequel in the series. True paul1085 Advent Children rocked pretty hard, though it was translated quite poorly by Jasconius (or whoever did the subtitles [on the version i downloaded at least]). Dirge of Cerberus is shaping up to be a pretty good game, with visuals similar to Devil May Cry, and gameplay that looks like something out of Resident Evil 4. DVD9, the last I heard, Final Fantasy XII will be on a Dual Layered DVD Disc, containing about 8.2GB of data. Last I heard, there werent any plans to put the game on two DVDS, though i maybe wrong. I'm Out....

anubis66, the PAL version of Final Fantasy X came with two discs, one contained the actual game, while the other was a bonus disc, with interviews with the voice actors for Tidus (James Arnold Taylor) and Yuna (Hedy Burress.) It had some other features too, like interviews with the staff, and music videos for the song. It was only a bonus DVD though, not much to be missed. Being in a PAL region, i picked up that copy ^_^

Have you got Dirge of cerberus then just wanting to know bcause I know that the total size after extraction is about 7gb however that has never stopped anyone before from rebuilding but could be tricky on dual layer.

Paul1085, im not really the authority on rebuilding games. Look to Tokijin or Alkohol for that. The game's on a dual layered disc? Interesting... It must pack alot of high polygon detail within the disc, as well as alot of content. Maybe the first time we see a 30 hour shooter! lol anyway, if your wanting to rebuild the game, u must be using Swap magic. I have no problems with Large .iso's, since i have a PS2 Hard Drive. Coupled with the DMS4 PRO mod chip, and not much goes wrong for me. Ask Alkohol or Tokijin to help you with that subject, since its not really my area of expertise. I'm GUESSING it'll be the same as some of ther other games though, so u'll be removing a few videos that might be key to progress. Think about it...

Again, the last i heard, Dragon Quest VIII NTSC contained a lot more features that the Japanese one didnt contain, such as an improved menu system, and voice acting. I have the NTSC version anyway, on my hard drive, so iwont be rushing to pick up a copy of the PAL release.

No didn't say that! Not sure wether it's dual layer or not because I havn't finished d/l it. Was just asking bcause I thought u had it as you were talking like you've played it. :)
Already know how to rebuild games, got a perfect copy of Dragon Quest viii minus dummy data (nearly completed, leaving Ortusk) no lags or long loading times. N e wayz cheerz for getting back. :)
Soz, should have explained more clearly.
P.S I'm one of these PAL pepes.
