Or you can always upgrade to the new firmware, as it has no reported problems yet.

i did exactly what's been told on how to downgrade my ipod... but the same problem persist! is there another way to downgrade my ipod? thanks...

did you run the ipod update after you modified the updater? and did you use the 1.0 updater?

Is there a way to fix the video sounds without downgrading?
I am not the most computer savy person and after shelling out close to 500$ for this baby, I really dont feel comfprtable altering it, But I would like to fix it when I play movies, it will work for abt 2o secs, then it stops conmtinues wihout sound. I really dont want to downgrade, but I want the videos to work.

If you are not comfortable downgrading (even though it is harmless ;), then simply update using the latest updater, which can be downloaded here.. http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
