Ive read a number of posts on this issue and know that there is a dummy file in the PAC folder that needs to be overwritten. In tojikin's guide, he says:
Quote: 49. Q. I'm rebuilding game X, I'm concerned it has dummy files. How do I identify the dummy files?
A. From Hursty: When you see the iso has dummy files.i.e 00DUMMY. 01DUMMY. GARBAGE ETC, you need to get rid of them, by replacing them with a file. So on the desktop, right click the mouse, select "new" > text document and rename it as it appears in isobuster, then click enter. Then open the text document on the desktop, hit space once, then save, this will create a text document with 1 byte in it, Do this for all the dummy files you have, as some games have more than one.
The bit i am confused about is that once i have made this text document that is on the desktop, do i move it in the same folder as the dummy file so that the dummy file gets overwritten?

Yes, that is exactly what you do
Create the text file, name it the same as the dummy file and
do a "save as" and puit it in the same place the currect dummy
file is. Being the same name it should tell you it exists and asks you if you want to overwrite it, you say yes. Then create your ISO

Thanks for clearing that up. Now with the new text file in place of the dummy file...do i rebuild the game as normal, draging the new file over in the same order as it appears in IsoBuster into CD/DVD Gen?
In short, once the dummy file is overwritten correctly, is it business as usual as to rebuilding the game?

can anyone help me on backing up SVR2006. It burns fine but it plays terribly. The loading times are ridiculous and the sound cuts on and off. If anyone can tell me how to get rid of this problem I'll appreciate it

Memorex is notorious for bad burns. Read the - Games stuttering and skipping or just not booting up at all
link in my signature.

i would really switch brands, Memorex are the worst.
Even if other games do work they will be hard on the laser.
rebuildinh it may help, but you really need some better quality media

Verbatim (i think the datalife are what people use)
Sony or Maxcell (made in Japan ONLY!!!)
most of the others like Taiyo YUden have to be bought online.
I suggest a good 8X DVD-R

If I'm remembering correctly, there was a problem with that iso & a rebuild was required for it to work.

Note:
Some games have dummy files in them.(ie. guilty gear, spider-man 2). They are used to beef up the size of the image and to copy-protect the game. Burning games with the dummy files left unchanged will result in a game that does not boot (using swap magic anyway). To remedy this annoyance follow these fun steps. Make sure you create an ISO for the game on your hard drive before you start using DVD Decrypter or other burning program. Also create a empty folder on your hard drive for the new files. Also keep ISO Buster open the whole time as you will need it for the last steps.
Step 1.
Open up ISO Buster and select-> File, Open Image, and then browse for the ISO you have created on your hard drive. Next click on the first file in the list on the right side of the screen, then hold down shift and click on the last file so that all of the files are highlighted. Continue to hold shift and right click on the highlighted area and select the Extract Objects option and then choose the folder on your hard drive to save it to.
Step 2.
Create a new text file. Open it and press the space bar once, then choose save as. Browse for the files you just extracted and click on one of the garbage files so it takes the same name. Then when it asks if you want to overwrite the existing file say YES. Repeat this for each Garbage or Dummy file.
4. Now that you have replaced them all you can use either Nero or CDVDGEN or another program (ISO Buster may have this option) to take those files and create a new ISO to burn. You must drop and drag the files into the program in the same order that they are in ISO Buster (this is why you kept it open)
5.Open up Nero burning rom and create a new UDF/ISO dvd (It's the last one in the list). Drop all the game files into Nero in the same order as it is listed in Isobuster. Nero will change the order of the files graphically, however they burn in the order that you dropped them in.
6. Now just burn the new ISO.
