Ipod music and pictures back to PC?

Hi im not that good with computers and such, but i just cleaned a virus, that wiped out all my media (songs and pictures), THe things i that i fortunately have most of my pictures and songs on my ipod. and i was wondering if there was a way that i could add all my MUSIC and PICTURES back onto my computer. THANKS!!!!

The way I prefer to do this is:
Connect your iPod to your computer.
[if you have installed iTunes don't follow this part]
Go to 'My Computer' and find your iPod on the list it presents to you.
Then click tools, then folder options, then view. There should be a radio button to click that says 'show hidden files' - click it.
Go to the iPod control folder and you'll be able to access your folders.
If you have iTunes installed you'll want to disable auto update so as to not lose all your music. I don't believe you can do that unless your iPod is connected so be quick!

Thanks Darkjello. i got all my songs back,, but i dont know where my pictures are hidden. Are they in the same folders? or different one?

I was just looking at that again, and I can't find how to get pictures off of an iPod. I believe Lethal has a guide at the top of the forum that shows other methods to get music off of your iPod, some of those programs may have a way to get pictures off as well.
I can think of a really round about way to doing it as well though. If you have a TV in on your computer, and a mini jack to composite cable [so you can view pictures/videos on your TV] You could try viewing the pictures on your computer and taking a screen shot. Although that is a bit of a hassle, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway :)

If it's an iPod problem I'd suggest posting here so it can help everyone, I'm interested in finding out how to copy pictures back to my computer as well. I think he checks new posts on his guides quite regularly, so I'd say try there. If you can't get him there maybe send him a private message directing him to the forum you want help in.

Here I am! Hehe. Sending a PM is a little pointless, because I hardly ever check the inbox, whereas I frequent this forum every half-hour, lol.
If you have a Mac you can use Keith's iPod Photo Reader

For A PC, you should use Anapod. I have the program installed and I believe it is the best software there is for the iPod, in all fields.

do u need to buy the full version of anapod to get the pictures off ur ipod and on ur computer? i tried the trial version but it doesnt show any pics on my ipod but there is like 500 pics on the ipod that i want....my computer crashed and now i want my picc!
any help please!!!
