i think the files there are the emulator program files that the ps2 opens to run snes station. what u might need now is a folder to add full of roms

Ok well first of all eploos what you want to do is go to gamebase.ca/snes-station/files/snes_cd_020.pdf, and they have a guide on how to do it. They you have to decide while reading it what you have in your Ps2. Do you have a mod chip installed if so read the first part of the PDF file, or do you use the swap magic like I do, use the second part of the guide. Follow the instructions exactly and it should work, otherwise you can e-mail those guys that made the program and tell them exactly what you are doing and that it is still not working and they might help you. I have about 250 games on my snes-station cd and it works fine. Hopes this helps

Well I think that's skirting forum rules. There's plenty of sites to download roms off of.

That guide was written for Nero Burning ROM, not Start Smart. Go to Start-->Nero and see if Nero Burning ROM is available.

ok im having no luck with the snes stn thing.
i have copied the files and used Nero with the settings as perviously posted:
install.cnf
(readme.txt)
"roms" (folder - contents are in .smc format)
snes_emu.elf
system.cnf
I have attempted to burn this as an image file as I have the thing as a completed iso onto many makes of cd and i keep making coasters!
I have a messiah-chip modded ps2. On inserting the cd, it fails to load up. in fact the only thing it does is goes to the "black playstation screen"
this is leading me to believe i need a loader of some kind. any ideas people?

3dluis: u sure im to add goodsnes to the compilation containing the files mentioned above? wont there be conflicts?
tokjin: yeh i looksed at that guide. when i extract the emu file however, i dont get these files:
SNES_EMU.001
SNES_EMU.002
SNES_EMU.003
SYSTEM
I get these, which are part of the compilation along with the "roms" folder containing more than 10 .smc files.
INSTALL
SNES_EMU.ELF
SYSTEM
Do you know where these .001-.003 files come from??

Cool sig 3DLuis, but you'll want to resize it. The mods will definitely say something when they see it. Get rid of the POP part, keep the DBZ part lol. I don't have a 100% working SNES Station. I'll burn it in a bit and let you know how it turns out. I'll follow the one guide I just posted and see if I can get it working.

here the list you need to have:
*Nero burning rom software
*the emulator call snes v2.3(here the site http://snes-station.gamebase.ca/index.htm for the emulator)
ok frist make a folder call roms and place all your snes roms into that folder and put them in A-Z click left mouse to arrange icons by name.
Second open the Nero burning rom software and setup the setting like this
on the left side choose.
*CD-Rom(UDF/ISO)
*ISO
File name length:Max of 31 chars(ISO level 2)
Formant:Mode 2/XA
Character set: ISO9660 (standing ISO Cd-rom)
*Burn
make the speed at least 4x or 8x the most when your done click New
ok it time to drag the files you need here the list you should have on the left side
*Roms (the folder you made to place the roms in)
*Install
*System
*Snes_Emu.elf
onece you place them just burn it and use the sm 3.6 cd ver.

Dunno I followed that guide, burned my roms and SNES Station to a Memosux CD-R and it plays perfectly on my chipped PS2. That guide is outdated, so the files were slightly different, but it was easy to fill in the blanks. Maybe you're burning too fast or using crappy media. Then again I burned mine to CMC Maggots and it plays fine. Go back over the steps, try different media, or burn speeds. Those files are from when the guide was written, which is like three years ago. The updated files are the ones that were posted.

Yeah I agree. I just burned it to Memosux CD-R for test purposes. I didn't want to waste a Taiyo Yuden if it didn't work. I have a bunch of PSX/PS2 CD-ROM based games backed up on Memosux. I will never use CMC Mag in my PS2, I just haven't gotten around to backing them up on better CD-R's. Thanks for the tip. Cheers!
