Is there any way of converting a real media file to mp4 format, i have a few filme in that format i want to watch on my pod. any help??

You could also try videora. That is the premier (free) video converter for the iPod video.

Both Cucusoft & Xilisoft iPod video converter support converting rm to iPod mp4 format.
Try videora first.
