if you think that you can use the psp games for the amount of money that it costs, i'd definantily get the psp over the nano any day. plus, you can store an unlimited amount of things with the psp because of the removable memory cards. but it sill comes down to personal preference. get what you need, not what we need. ;-)

Well here is the deal the PSP will allow you to watch movies on it, but right now there has been news stories that have said that Sony will cut back on UMDs which is the format of disc. Plus you have said you want the music, Apple has shown that there are going to be in this for a long time. As far as Sony this is their first handheld, who knows what going to happen.
As for me my brother has a Ipod and loves it, and since you already have one go with the Nano.

I would advise you towards getting a PSP if you need minimal music & video storage, but if you need a lot of room for your media, then I suggest you get an iPod. Video playback is better on the PSP as it has a much larger screen, but you can only currently get a maximum of 4gb storage space, which isn't a lot in comparison to the 30gb/60gb iPod.
Do you like video games or do you just want music and videos? How many songs do you plan to put on the PSP/iPod Nano, how many videos? The down fall with the PSP is that it is big and bulcky, its hard even to fit in pockets, as the Nano you need to be careful not to lose it!
