the DNAS has been posted in THIS thread, if your to lazy to read the entire thing and find it, you dont need to play online anyways.

Or SM 3.3 but 2.0 just does not cut it any more.
so my advice is to invest, upgrade and play.

Ive im the UK with a UK playstation and the US subsistence.
Im using swap magic 3.3.
Ive changed the ID of my ps2 to a US one using paradox Id changer, ive also added the Dnas code to the disk.
Ive then used a memory card without any network info on it to create a new network setup for my "US" ps2 to use, on the "Existence" Disk (disk 2, the online disk).
After creating a new user when logging in, it just logs straight into the game, and im playing online within seconds.
Theres no tricks to it, no hidden catches, and i guarantee it works. Hell, I was even playing the JAP version online before the US release.
The most difficult part is finding the correct ID code for your ps2 if your not in the US, but if you look around youll find how its done eventually. These codes are simply an edit to your own original code btw, not a theft of someone elses, or youll enter a whole world of trouble.
Oh, and ive only even had lag once today when I was uploading files to the internet on my pc at the same time, and it was still playable.

the only 'lag' I've ever experienced is when the host has a bandwidth problem and you'll get an on screen 'connection is unstable' and you and everyone else in the current hosted game will just be able to run in circles till the host drops off or corrects the issues.

Thanks for the info... Yeah, my swap magic was 2.0. Figured since it had been working for (almost) all my other games, it would work for this one too... I guess I'll be upgrading soon enough.

Im in the UK with a PAL ps2 and I have the US DVD.

I tried y-fix ntsc2pal but it said it couldnt patch it

I tried the other ntsc2pal patchers on megagames but they dont work. (although still say sucessfull.. xx bytes written)

theres another patcher but it needs a BIN and I cant find an iso2bin converter anywhere.

anyway its kind of shitty in black and white...

anyone know of a working ntsc2pal patch for this game?

thx

EDIT: im not bothered about online play.. just want the single player in colour :/

but then I go to connect, and when it gets to DNAS I get DNAS error

-612 NET_DNS_TRY_AGAIN
The DNS resolver cannot be found. "DNAS Error (-612) A network error has occurred." Please double-check your network connection and/or network configuration.

wtf am I doing wrong, I am using swap magic 3.6 with the slimline ps2, I think scph 7xxxx or something

first thing I'd recommend is you edit the pic to blur out the first two sets of numbers, it's against rules to post a completed DNAS.

a 612 error is most often your firewalled or blocking a port. if you are connecting via a router make sure you have your firewall set to an exception for the PS2 or turned off.

with a router it has nothing to do with windows, it's not communicating with your PC it's communicating with the WAN port. what kind of router are you using?

kc

EDIT:

http://192.168.0.1/ should be a direct connection to your router.

http://192.168.100.1/ should get you to your cable modem.

yes you need to set an exception for the PS2 or turn off your firewall. can't say for sure on your particular router, i use a D-Link, but even with the firewall off i have to set ports up for some programs (”torrent being one of them)

hmm..ok..I cant figure out how to disable it, I set it on something called DMZplus mode... o.o;

Allow all applications (DMZplus mode) ? Set the selected computer in DMZplus mode. All inbound traffic, except traffic which has been specifically assigned to another computer using the ?Allow individual applications? feature, will automatically be directed to this computer. The DMZplus-enabled computer is less secure because all unassigned firewall ports are opened for that computer.

I cant seem to find PS2 on the list for allowed applications, what would it show up as?
