You can't put copy protection onto discs. There is no software to do that, nor do I think there will be.

My DVD Arsenal: BenQ DW1650 Drive, Plextor DVDRW PX-740A Drive, Nero 6.6.0.13, AnyDVD 6.1.8.4, CloneDVD2 2.9.1.2, DVD Shrink 3.2, DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0, DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.2.1.0, VobBlanker 2.1.3.0, RipIt4Me 1.7.1.0, FixVTS 1.6.0.3

Do a search for CPRM and also this recorder (LG6821W). The LG recorder is suppose to put the CPRM protection on any discs it records making the first copy very hard to recopy. I have no idea how well it works since this is just from info I read, but its suppose to actually work.

Hmmmm, I guess I was wrong. I didn't think you could put copy protections onto discs.

CPRM is another way the powers to be are trying to stop the average person from making copies. The first time I heard of this was a member on here that PM'd me asking how to break this protection on her home movie dvds. She didn't even know her machine was adding the copy protection to them. These were home movies NOT dvd backups.

Best reason I've heard not to buy an LG6821W.
