Doesn't work? what do you have the slimline PS2? (The new Small PS2's) If you have the slimline then you also need to get a cap or some other form of slimline sensor cover.

yea i got slimline but why do i need the cover for???

is it for the disc keep spinning even if open the cover?

some call it a ghost switch some call it something else. http://www.customps2.com/site/pages/prods/pstwo_gc.html <<< That's what I mean. with out it or some other form of hiding the fact you're opening the cover. Opening the cover tells the ps2 it's opened and it'll reset the ps2 chip mode. Thus not able to do what you wanna do. with it you can then use the swap magic and then any other form of backup a ps2 can load. Some ppl use a straw some others use other things. search on here and you'll find methods of how to get by with out buying that ghost switch. in the end you'll probably end up buying that $7 peace. Less hassle and more game time.

post what you are using and what methods.

swap magic?
ar max?
game?
boot helper?

Anything that you use and what you are using.

Did you check this by just simply doing the Swap magic and then the game to see if your censor is capped, taped, slapped, or what ever it's suppose to be. If the back up game loads then say so.. leave nothing unsaid.

im using armax with swap magic in one disc...

my steps..

all the sensors are tapped..
1. Load in Swap magic, then Wait for screen
2.Scroll down D-Pad to where it says RESET IOP: At second time.
3.Using D-Pad change to RESET IOP: Always - Press X
4.Press X on the Cdloader screen .
5.Press X on the MaxMedia Menu selection. -or- AR Max evo. Waite for screen. might take 20secs.
6.Press X on the Expert Mode. Waite for codes to load.
7.Chose my Weapons. I mean game and codes. Press start
8.Press X - Start game with codes.
9.Then swapmagic black screen shows.. then it says Reset iop.. i leave it as is then pressed X
10. Blue Screen Appears.. (if i press x again the red screen will show up it says Multiple loader screen... ARMAX EVO MENU 1 MENU 2 ETC ETC then if i change the cd here then press x it freezes)
10.my cd stopped on spinning then i change it into my Dragon Quest/Atelier Iris Game...
11.then it says error reading the disc!..

I'm sorry guys but I don't really understand all of this. Why is it that you need a seperate tool to load games on an already modded ps2.

I have a slim ps2, modbo chip(that's supposedly AR Max compatible) and ps2 backups that work fine. So now that I want to use my AR Max though, it loads fine and I make it to the insert game screen but it won't load the game with the codes in place. So your telling me that even with a mod chip in place I can't load a backup with AR Max?

Someone please answer these

1. Can I use Swap Magic 3.6 to load the games at the insert games screen without having to use any tool at all?

2. Will getting the new AR Max v3.2 solve all my problems?

3. If you get Swap Magic and Ar Max what is the point of getting a mod chip?

1.) Load in Swap magic, Waite for screen
2.) Swap out for the Above Ar Max evo, Press X
3.) Scroll down D-Pad to where it says RESET IOP: At second time.
4.) Using D-Pad change to RESET IOP: Always - Press X
5.) Press X on the Cdloader screen.

Note: With this ISO. I made it with 2 other Menu Selections. HD Advanced v1 & USB Advanced

6.) Press X on the MaxMedia Menu selection. -or- AR Max evo. Waite for screen. might take 20secs.
7.) Press X on the Expert Mode. Waite for codes to load.
8.) Choose your Weapons. I mean game and codes. Press start
9.) Press X - Start game with codes. Waite for game save and Loading game - Do not change the disc or take it out!

STOP

Now this is where every one thinks they need to change the disc to Swap magic and then to DVDloader. THIS is not true. You do not need to change the disc at this time!

10.) I dare you to Press X again. hahah j/k You need to press X Again - Do not change the disc or take it out!

Now you should be back to the CDloader black menu screen. NO need to Reset IOP at this time.

11.) Press X At the CDloader Black menu Screen. Waite for the Blue screen. www.swapmagicfix.com/cdloader2.jpg

Now is when you change disc

12.) Eject the CD/DVD. Place in Swap Magic
13.) Press X - Waite for Red CD/DVD screen www.swapmagicfix.com/cdloader3.jpg
14.) Swap it out at this time for the Backup Game.
15.) Press X ---- Then The Screen Goes Black! it doesnt load the game
