Possibly not, because I've no idea whether they've actually done everything, Arctic Silver, Zalman, UV, etc. I also have to sweat over whether citylink will actually deliver it, or just "a card was left" when they didn't turn up like last time...

Nobody knows anything about it! I did the order on the net and then added stuff by phone so their tracking system basically isn't, for this order. I was told I'd be contacted if there were any problems. I haven't, so fingers crossed!

sammorris,
I don't believe in pre-destination. Omens are only Omens if you believe they are. I also don't believe in confessing a negative. In Church they tell us the easiest way to find trouble is to expect it! You don't have to look for it as it knows you are expecting it and will find you!

See, that's what I mean by confessing a negative. Drop the hopefully and you have???
"Everything will be allright"!
According to what they say in Church, being hopeful creates Doubt. Doubt is a solvent, like Lye because it eats at things! Doubt creates Fear! Doubt and Fear leave you vulnerable to the negative!

Why? I had to read Norman Vincent Peal's book, "The Power of Positive Thinking" in college. The book was a commercialized crock, but the concept is true. A lot smarter men than me have said that time and again. If you look for the bad, you will surely find it. Usually they mention the bad in people, but it applies to all bad!

Lol, years of mostly forced counseling make me no stranger to the concept positive thinking. I agree it's true but I feel works best when a person finds their own "style" as opposed to that in the somewhat humorous books :P
Anyways, I digress. Anyone here pushing a 4200+ past stock? I'm running one and am curious how well it OC's compared to the 3800+.

That's one of the beauty's of the unknown! When I did thid D940, I had no experience with Dual-Cores or CPUs running faster than 3.0. I checked around in a couple of other forums to see if I could find anything helpfull, but mostly what I found was comentary on supposition! As far as I am concerned, unless you do something really dumb, the chances of majorly hurting something are minimal.
I benched it stock at 3.2 and then moved on to 3.4. I got it running good and then lived with it a few days, running all of my software and making notes on results. I moved it up to 3.6 and hit a wall of sorts. This turned out to be an issue with memory timings. It would run, but it would shut down during a Prime run. I finally got it to where it is now at 3.8 where I think it's reached my limit. I say my limit because I am not willing to raise the voltages any further. they are still below what is accepted but for the few extra percent I might get out of it with only a minimal gain in performance, it's just not worth the risk. The biggest thing I learned is to set it up stock and do a 12 to 24 hour burn in. I guess this helps the electronice develop a set. My rational is that it now runs at 3.8 with memory settings that it failed at when I first tried using them. Burning in or a good Prime run seems to stabilize things so it ultimately runs better after some prolonged heavy use.
So get in there and have at it. Just don't try go overboard. Just because Joe Blow can get his clocked to umpteen GHz with his CPU doesen't mean that you can do the same thing using the same CPU. When you get done with it, you will have learned a lot and accomplished something! The nicest thing is that no matter how other people feel about what you have accomplished is that you didn't do it for them, you did it for yourself!!!
Since you are running an AMD x2, here's an interesting article from Tom's Hardware about memory speeds and timings.
http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/03/31/tight_timings_vs_high_cloc... It should be helpfull to you!
