It sounds like AnyDVD is off - that's the error you'll receive if AnyDVD is not running in the background. Do you see the red fox in the system tray?

Ya got me then. Last thing I can think of it to check the settings in AnyDVD and make sure 'enable AnyDVD' is checked. If it's not checked & AnyDVD is on - the fox will be grey.

lol - sorry I couldn't be of more help. Those were the only 2 ways I was able to replicate it on my pc - using the latest version of each.
Maybe contact Slysoft unless someone else pops in with another suggestion.

Try removing both programs and downloading the free trials, see if they work...If they do,maybe your Aunt will spring for the legit versions.
I'm not sure what you mean by "you had the first one and don't want to pay for the new one" Both of those products are updated for free for life.

what version of anydvd do you have? what dvd are you trying to copy? do you get this message on any other dvds? oohh and if you have the patched\cracked version of clonedvd2 or anydvd and you updated it...you are going to have to repatch or recrack it...

Are you waiting for your drive to start? I'll get the same message if I'm too quick on the DVD video files button.

You may have to clean the registry of any traces of your cracked versions before attempting another installation.Remove the programs, then download Ccleaner(just Google it)Run Ccleaner. Also check (c)drive program files and delete any folders from Elby and Slysoft, then run Ccleaner again...(reboot computer after cleaning)Then re-install the programs.
Good luck.

i know this may be dumb, but have you rebooted the comp since you installed AnyDVD and CloneDVD? and you are running the trial versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD? and you deleted elaborate bytes and slysoft folders(after doing the uninstall), before you reinstalled the trial versions?

sorry man...was just asking, trying to figure out everything you've done so far, wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything..dayum... you could delete AnyDVD and try DVD43 to see if that has any change for you...if DVD43 takes the css protection of, then it means something is messing with AnyDVD...and in worse case scenario(late night, don't know if i spelled it right), you could use DVD Decrypter to rip to HD, then write with CloneDVD or decrypt...

true and also if you install DVD43 it will prompt you to get rid of all AnyDVD files(that way you could check to see if AnyDVD is still in there somewhere)...as DVD43 and AnyDVD are incompatible...
