hey celtic_d
thanks for the suggestion. Although it won't allow me to switch between subtitle streams, the player is great. Maybe the mkv file is currupt in some way. I can see the subtitle streams in MKVinfo GUI. Here is what the tool tells me:

I can maybe, demux what i want and rebuild the mkv with only one subtitle and one audio stream. If I opt out for this route, is there any specific procedure to follow using MKVMerge GUI?
Thanks
* I forgot to mention that the Haali's Video Renderer is greyed out. I obtained playback with both VMR7/9 (renderless) but no subs. I do have the Matroska Pack installed, with Haali's Media Splitter. Maybe the subs dont use the splitter?
